Accidentally scratching knives

It's like never driving a car because it may get scratched or scuffed. Scratches happen. Remember it's only a material aspect. Now you may use it more.

Agreed!
What usually gets me is lap drops. Get a new knife, flick the shit out of it while driving. Place in lap and forget it's there.......get out of truck, knife goes flying into concrete........it is now ok to cut stuff!!

Thanks! This post makes me feel much better!

Boy, can't tell you how many times I have done that. I just did in my living room 10 minutes ago with a knife. Yep, I have tile floors. It happens.

You can change the ring to a Titanium ring. As you know it is softer than the steel but still very durable.

Embrace it.

This knife looks happy to me. Why? Somebody loves it enough to use it.

Why baby it? It wasn't cheap and if you are gonna spend that much on it you should use it.

I love the scratches and the used look - it's better that way. Of course I have a couple knives I don't hard use that I wouldn't get scratched up. But for the most part embrace it!

I don't want to pretend so I will say what I feel. Deep and irregular scratches on blades make knives look ugly, period.

Exactly why I wanted to know how to prevent them, especially for knives one might want to resell!
