Acrylics and cell mates.

Thanks Will and Jeff :) I call those Brown Eyed Suzan's Will. This Babylon Yellow has a spectacular pearlescent effect to it, quite mesmerizing in hand :)

Thanks guys!! I really like that Babylon Yellow Duane. I love the way the colors contrast and you can see the pearlyness of the acrylic in your pics :) I forgot about the LG knives GEC makes. Those have a thin sheet of material covered by acrylic. Here are my 2 black pearl #48s. The color came out a little easier on the second knife.

Fine stuff there Trand, Church stainedglass and Crushed Seashell in particular. There was a 66 Mink Skinner in another acrylic that was similar to Church and I regret not getting it. Then there's the elusive Pumpkin Patch...

sitflyer, fantastic shot amongst those blooms (Zinnias??) Please tell us more about that handle it's really outstanding.

Thanks, Will

The Crushed Seashell is hard to photograph because of the white/off white pieces in clear acrylic. The #66 Skinner is Sea Glass Perylic. Similar to Church Glass and Crushed Seashell but with different colors. GEC's Tortoise Shell and Blue Tuna acrylic are also similar.

And my only pumpkin patch

Trand Thanks for reminding me it was Sea Glass, beautiful stuff. Hope somebody has some to show. Your faux Tortoise pix are really accurate, I find it tough to capture.

Barry That one is droolworthy literally! Actually looks like something frozen you'd want to consume on a hot day:D:)

Thanks everbody, nice variety.

Robin, much admire that Green Bullet End very handsome knife! The little Pemberton is well turned out too, suits a small knife like that.

What?? No Dead Skunk yet or? I don't have any unfortunately, but the earlier stuff is more cream coloured than more recent versions, and is I think, superior.

Here's the glow after dark Nifebrite that I really like playing the kid with. :D:D When I was a kid, Glow worms used to be about in August,July but pesticides seem to have wiped out that charming feature:(

Here are a couple of oldies I dug out and a GEC 89 whittler. The old Cat knife has wrinkled gold foil under the clear and black celluloid.

Best regards

Robin

Robin, that Catt and that 89 look very interesting, almost real Tortoise.

I heard muffled cries of protest coming from the knife-cabinet earlier on, this one slipped my mind and he was indignant.

I'm not positive, but I think this is celluloid. The seller called it pyromite. Also said it was pre-wwII.

pyromite was a name used for Celluloid

Here's an old Valley Forge eureka, might have been laying outside for a while. She was a beauty in here time, celluloid still holding up,pile side is nice.

Orange is one of my favorite colors in knife handles so I had to have this one when I saw it.
I don't know what Imperial called it, but I call it Orange Marble.
It's a bit faded on the mark side , but still looks great IMO.

And a nice Red Celluloid Imperial.

That old steel sure sharpens up nicely.
