Acrylics and cell mates.

Here's a 4 1/2" U.N. CO NEW YORK. It had some ugly presidential themed celluloid that was busted. So I decided to replace it with this NOS candy striped stuff that I think Winchester used. It turned out pretty well I think.

Beautiful! Beautiful!! My tastes have always been drawn more to the Acrylic handled knives for many years.
I have stag and bone, horn etc But I always stop, handle and end up buying the pretty plastic handled knives!

I wish I could take pictures half as well as the others on this thread! That's another post! Well done!!:)

I must have missed this thread when it was first started. Lots of wonderful photos here. I only have one acrylic knife, shown below, and I was a little bit surprised by my reaction to the acrylic-covered knives shown here. I LOVE some of them, and I pretty much hate the others! I don't think there were any where I thought, "Yeah, that's OK." Very strong reaction one way or the other, which is not at all my reaction to most bone, stag, or wood knives. There are many aspects of my reactions to traditional folders that I can't explain.

Anyway, here's a tortoise shell sunfish from Canyon Creek (whoever that is):

That Cartridge Series Winchester candy stripe is the BOMB!

Here is another SFO by Painted Pony on my favorite #53 Cuban pattern, called Nighthawk Micapearl. Black & Gold are both my high school and college colors.

GEC #66

Old Col. Littleton

Fine 66 that, notice how low the tangs are set, the Church Glass (Stained Glass??) is an admirable acrylic.

Jeff Fantastic pinless scales on that Cuban 53, some mind boggling swirls and colours there. Acrylic & Cell are not for the faint-hearted:D:thumbup:

Thanks, Will.

Sea Glass Perylic on that #66 Mink Skinner. Very similar to church glass, tortoise, blue tuna, crushed seashell, etc but with different color bits.
