Adopt a Fiddleback

God bless you all.
What a beautiful story. I'm so happy it worked out for you and your family.
Wishing you the very best in life one day at a time.

For those who may have missed it, I posted some cool parts to our story in post #79!

Our God is good!

Every day! Couldn't have put it better myself.

God bless you all.

Thanks! We really are blessed.

Here's my little Fiddle family right now . . . still missing the momma and papa sized knives.

We visited a cool archeological site and I took this pic, I'm going to post a bunch more pics in the 'Summertime' thread when I get home. Tomorrow we travel back. It's a 10 ½ hour trip with 6 of that being dirt (not the nice dirt roads in the US). Our baby Ilanna has done awesome. She fits our family to the tee! She has been super flexible with our travels and lack of rigid schedule. God have us another adaptable child. Monday I contact the lawyers and we should be starting the paperwork to have her original birth certificate show her name we gave her and list my wife and I as her parents :)

Well, with great sadness I have to let you all know that my beloved Runt is MIA. It's been about a week and it hasn't turned up. I was using it in routine daily tasks and the next day I was loading my pockets and it wasn't there! I frantically looked for it and decided I wouldn't post anything until I was sure it was gone. Well, after a week, I've resigned myself to the fact that my most used most carried Fiddleback is gone for good. Someone else has an amazing knife and a great sheath. To say I'm sad is an understatement! This was my first Fiddleback, purchased the same time we adopted our little girl.

On a good note though, tomorrow morning I'm heading to the US Embassy with our daughter for a medical exam and an interview for her Immigration Visa. As long as it all goes well, we should have her Visa in another week!! It's been a long process. 7 months to actually get our daughter and then 2+ years of follow up visits and now visa processes! But there's light at the end of the tunnel and soon we'll be Stateside and finishing her immigration process and she'll have her US Citizenship!

So though I'm very sad I no longer have my Fiddleback Runt, I do have my daughter whom I wouldn't trade for the world!

Congratulations on the home stretch for your daughter's citizenship!!! I was just thinking of you the other day and wondering how you have been. That is exciting news.

Sorry to hear about the runt. The good new is they are pretty easy to score a new one now.
