Andy every time I come back and read more of this thread as you add to it gets better. Your photos are excellent and your narration is equal to them. Thank you again for allowing us to join you on this trip.

Thanks again for the images, the stories; so sorry to hear about your loss. So much can go wrong in just a blink of an eye on the road--just two weeks ago, a kid jumped the gun on a left turn and slammed into my driver's side door, scraping all the way back to my rear passenger door. I was not hurt--just a little shaken--and my family was not in the car.

Keep your cool, carry on... what else can we do...
 
Andy, sorry for the loss of your cousins. Hope things work out on the employment front. As a kid, I read numerous books about Africa and always wanted to go hunting there. I am now at a point in my life that I know that is never going to happen, but reading the narratives about your adventures and seeing the pictures you took has been a real pleasure for me! I greatly appreciate your time and effort in sharing your experiences with us!!! Thank you so much. Am anxiously awaiting the "next chapter"!:D

..... thanks mate, I never thought you were anything but joking :D (I wouldn't accept Aussie dollars these days either !!). I was hoping for a billion/trillion note while I was away, no such luck... ;)
 
Thanks all. Just about to hit the road for the 3hr (each way) trip for the funeral. I hate these days....

Thanks all... loooong day in so many ways....very very very sad. But I am home and off the road so I am happy enough. Just have to get over this freaking head cold I have before the job interviews day after tomorrow !!

For the record....I was photographing the street scape, that that young lady was hooking a booger at the time was just a lucky catch on my part !!!!

... I can dream !!!!! More likly HARDER to get away....sooner or later they will issue me a Sat Phone as my "excuses" about the current device not working where I hunt is starting to wear thin... !! Dammit !!!!

I also had my first staff member reply to a request (I mentioned "taking one for the team" in my request)
with.... "no problem boss, I saw what happened to the crocodile....happy to help you" ... :) :D

Hey Andy... I too made a "lateral move" in 2010. Very stimulating job.... Pain in the ass bosses.... Cel phone & pager ... Phone calls at 02:00 ..... Back to my old job in 2012..... Be careful of what you wish for ;)
 
Ahhhhh mate, I have the 24/7 job now.... ;) They can't make it worse...well they can.... the can move me sideways and UP for a month (started today) where the expectation is 25/7 ;)
