We are in production of the light chopper now.

However, it occurs to me that we might not have bought enough material. I have enough steel here to make 350 and that might not be enough because half of the knives go to the pre-order and half go to the Friday sales and it's possible that's not enough steel for both.

If I'm going to roll more steel, they may as well roll some heavier gauge material and we can do the medium chopper also. The fixturing and setups are similar so it makes sense to do both.

If the fixturing and setups are similar, can we assume that the LC and MC are pretty much similar besides thickness and weight?

I emailed Jo my details, and I understand she’s dealing with some stuff unfortunately. I know she’ll get back to me and send invoices out when she’s able to. I’m personally not in a hurry and know she will do her best. I hope she is doing alright.
 
Fellas, everyone's going to have to be patient for a while.

It's not for me to go into specifics but Nate has been in touch with me a few times over the past week or two, and a personal family matter is going to cause some delay. I know we all care a great deal about Nathan and Jo and their extended family, so let's just be patient and send some good thoughts and energy their way during the wait.

Here's a random thought

If you are dying of terminal cancer, you have a few choices that you could make. You might choose to make a will, have your wishes documented and notarized, make arrangements, and distribute things while it is still convenient.

Or, you might choose to do none of those things and simply choose the most sane family member and make them the soul beneficiary of your policy and force them to be the executor and then let them sort it out with everyone and everything and deal with everything putting them in an impossible position.

Which direction you choose to take in this situation would be determined by your affinity for chaos and insanity.

I will point out that the goons and I are busy making and building, but Jo bookends everything we do here. She is the start of the process and the end of the process and attempts to work the process without her are just going to screw up her books and make her already difficult situation worse. We can try to help her, but ultimately she has to do it.

I don't wish to be a meddler in your matters Nathan but maybe you ought to rethink that LC/MC 1/03/2025 planned preorder to defer to a later date. Some folks are not regulars in here who don't follow posted announcements who'd probably expect to hear back from Jo sooner rather than later which will put too much stress on you and everyone else in the crew. Just my 2 Cs.
 
Nate, we hope that you do take the time needed to grieve and get through this sad and difficult time. Pretty sure that you know that us goons are gonna be here for you and waiting whenever y'all are ready to move forward in the business aspect of things. All in all, my deepest condolences to you and your family.

My thoughts are with you and Jo.

I’m not waiting on a knife but you guys should just take as long as you need to get things sorted.
