After Sale Lounge

Congrats Dan, I missed it by 1!!!

Yes, congrats to SwarthDan :) The lucky horseshoe of the luckiestsumofabeach universe landed in Dan's arse!

Now, let me do my best Richrad338 impression on you:

Your #14 spot certainly precedes the #15 winner spot by one and while there was a possibility that you were missed by one, the probability of you winning was still 1 in 60, just like the rest of us unlucky turds, with Nathan's OP notwithstanding :p

Well... to be pedantic, mathematicians and programmers will tell you that when you analyze most 'random number generator' programs, they only appear random, but really aren't.

With sufficient analysis and trending data, you can see how they aren't. 😋

Clearly, the answer is the Magic 8 Ball.

You're draining the entropy pool!
With only one number drawn, and especially since I didn't enter, I had no chance.

Congrats to SwarthyGnome SwarthyGnome !

Not sure what Jo used ... you are correct, of course - in theory; but these days, for a modern generator, if you can see how they aren’t, (1) you’ll win a Turing award and (2) you can get very rich and/or powerful in the process.

I believe that the old, "names in a hat", is the best way. But maybe I'm becoming an old fart?

What’s the best way to get the most updated thread for future sales? I still haven’t figured out how this forum works 😅.
Seriously, the actual “for sale” thread isn’t posted until 3pm eastern time on Fridays. The first post in the “The Next Sale” thread will tell you date and time of the next sale. Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist even provides a link to the part of the forum (always the same place) where the for sale thread will be posted. So, if you hit that link provided in the first post of the “The Next Sale” thread it will take you to the area the for sale thread is posted in. Click on the sale thread posted by Nathan and post a reply.
Most people hit a single letter and post and then edit their post to include what configuration they want. These sales lately are very slow paced compared to the sales that occur when a new pattern is released.

I really appreciate the advice and can’t thank you enough. Hopefully I can purchase at least one of these knives at some point soon.
