Stupid fast. I’m wondering if offering people the option of getting two is a good idea?

Hopefully some don’t change their order to request two, with the intention to resell one and recoup money. I’m towards the end of the list, and it wouldn’t take too much to move me to the waiting list!

In retrospect I guess it wasn't a good idea, but the K18's didn't move like this so I figured we were covered.

I am just so happy that everyone who got in will now be able to complete their Deadpool cosplay - for reals.

Well, only if you ordered two - if you ordered just one, you can't be a proper Deadpool. Sorry. 😁

One of the quicker sales I can recall…ever(?). I had to load 2x and boom…30+ down
I only reloaded once and I was still on page 2 (even if just barely). This was pure adrenaline, which honestly is a lot of the fun. I bet Nathan didn't think he'd have a preorder thread fill that fast! That was almost certainly going to have been a sellout in less than 60 seconds once we account for the two-sword orders.

I think you had two things working there, one, after you delivered the K18s a lot of people got to kicking themselves for missing out, and two, a modern wakizashi would probably always have been a popular design. I sure am glad you had the stones to do this though, I'm sure it'll be a tough project, but a wood K20 will absolutely 100% be the centerpiece of my knife collection forever (I guess unless we get an integral dagger preorder, in which case nothing lasts forever, you know), and unlike the K18 preorder this time I was sure to get two so I can have one to actually cut things with as well.

That and
A) being a custom design specifically aimed at the Knife or Death competition

and

B) being double edged, which I think already precluded some folks

The K18 was a different ballgame than a CPK rendition of a Wakizashi.
Yeah, that back edge scared me off. I did not have any legitimate use for the blade and decided it wasn't worth the corporeal risk.

But yeah...regrets...wasn't gonna pass this one up. And contrary to Nathan's non-garden-tool statement, I think this will be one of my go-tos for working with fleshy vegetation...banana stalks get about the size and consistency of a human leg, sans bone... If I can bear to devirginize it. Shoots, I'll have to wait 'til it's in hand and assess what it can handle.

That sale was nuts. I experienced no lag on reloads, which took me by surprise and actually slowed me a little 😲

I've stated before that I'm usually on the road on Fridays. Glad I had the day off to use the 200Mbps at home, vs stopping by the roadside for whatever spotty connection speeds I can find.

I don't know if I'd have made it in, between my mistake of waiting a few seconds after the hour before refreshing, AND a slow, spotty connection (seen 1 Mbps and lower in previous sales, stopped by the roadside).
