After Sale Lounge

You couldn’t shave a second or two. Must be flawless and to the second.

I clicked Nates pro on accident and knew I was immediately SOL.

EVERY SDFK whether basic or sig has literally sold out in one second and not a second more.
I made a minor error and hit the '5' key on my keyboard instead of 'F5,' but it only slowed me down by a tiny fraction of a second, which was still enough to drop to Post #20. You really can't afford to misclick!

First time trying to snag one of the more popular releases.. I knew spots go fast but man, refreshed the page after posting and theres instantly 2 more full comment pages, crazy. Took my break early for this one and it seems like it was worth it, managed to get post #16. Cruwears one of my top 3 favorite steels so I knew I had to at least try, cant wait to put the Carothers heat treat to the test. Congrats to everyone that snagged 1!

Oh man I made it, that was fun! I was so nervous and anxious! I even passed it up with an extra refresh the first time.

Refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, Oh Sh-t (saw that the sale was popped up, but was on a roll and hit refresh again……. NOOOOOOOOOOO….)! Was able to click on it again after passing it once and made it (WHEEEEeeW!).

Thank god for the practice huh?

Even ran a speed test a few minutes before to make sure I was optimized on my iPad lol.

Apparently, to REALLY do well, requires turning to the Dark Side 🤣🤣🤣
I've made my peace with that.

After about a decade, I think I'm pretty much done. This whole "let's see who can move their trackballs the fastest" lolly scramble is 100 percent pure Bravo Sierra. And many of the same jagoffs seem to win every time. Also, the whole "leisurely pace" schtick has grown tired, and old, and it really isn't funny, and IMO it's time to drop it. It's actually kind of low-key cruel.

Combined with being told by a respected member that I talk too much here, it's not fun for me anymore. I'm sure I'm alone on an island, so pay no attention. But still . . .

I believe that some day this whacked out sales model will change to something more reasonable, like a lottery - once CPKs are not the "belle of the ball" anymore (and eventually that always happens). By that time, I'll bet that a bunch of others like me will have moved on.

Maybe I'll feel different by Monday. I doubt it. If not, expect to see a bunch of knifes for sale here soon. No fast fingers needed to purchase.

It is frustrating not to be a "ninja" at the keyboard but I still keep trying for most all the CPK sales. 🤔

I'm not really sure how well a lottery type system would work with ~40 knives?

But I do think a lottery would work well for a Fun Friday type sale with only one or two items. You could take all entries in the first minute and then do a random drawing from all the people who made the 60 second cut. You could also draw a backup in case the winner declined.

Congrats to the weiners. (I myself was at the grocery store with the missus buying beer, steaks and important stuff like that.)

Can't wait to hear reports on this Cru-Wear version. Should be awesome.
