Age and choice

48 next Sat.
I like heavy-duty bush survival blades mostly. I have all the Esee line plus extras, Fallknivens F1,S1,and A1 , Skookum bush tool ,a few SRK's, BK 2&9 , Kabars...the list goes on !!
:)

48 years and a steel junky that loves learning new steels. I'm not satisfied until I've figured out a steels secrets.

For routine carry I mostly carry thinned out spydercos and kershaws though I have about most things laying around including customs, some of which I imported just to try a new steel.

In fixed blades I've been carrying my Ferhmans. They are tough and practical though I do have a lot of other choices.

All in all I lean toward bearing alloys, tool steels and high speed steel.

Knives and steels are just tools to me. Different tools for different jobs, and every one should have it's place and use.

I admit I look down on the type posts that say " I broke the tip off my XXXXX prying something, and I believe the knife is defective".

Likewise no sympathy for those that don't care for their tools and complain about rusting out stainless steels.

I'm 28. Favourite brands - Spyderco, Victorinox, Mora, Opinel.

I would like to own and use Spyderco Paramilitary. My dream knife - Sebenza. Both are out of my price category...

I am 32 and I am picky with the knives I buy. I have a very small collection, but they are all keepers.

I'm 22 and really like Emerson's, Spyderco's, and ESEE blades. But love traditional patterns too, particularily anything with jigged bone handles or stag with bolsters. :D

21, I'll just let my EDCs speak for my taste.
Buck 110 Custom
Benchmade 710
Kershaw Shallot S110V
Buck 309 Companion Dymondwood scales
Kershaw SG2 JYD
SAK Cadet

I Plan on adding
Spyderco Salt
Benchmade 527 Mini Presidio

For fixed blades Buck, Bark river, Chris Reeve, and Dozier.

Im 16, got my first nice knife as a gift from my uncle last Christmas ( spyderco police). I love benchmade, Spyderco, My benchmade 42 And love me strider PT.

24. i used to check out stuff like the cold steel ti-lite LOL (when i was 18).

now i own a bunch of spydercos and benchmades, but i'm phasing those out and only keeping a few collector pieces, ie:

bm42, 1st gen manix, 635 mini skirmish, camillus cuda maxx 5.5, darrel ralph pieces, sebenza, microtech makora

i'm debating whether to keep my manix 2, military, bm790, or nitrous stryker (2 of them) as EDCs and selling the rest

from here on out i'm only buying nice collection-worthy knives, no more tactical edc folders

At 55 I still can appreciate any well made knife. My carry knives are usually slipjoints.
I collect slipjoints and daggers, but have carry folders by Ralph, Carson, and Scott Cook, Butch and Rainy Vallotton, Microtech, Benchmade, Kershaw, Reeve, and Spyderco that see use.

I'm 21, and i am normally attracted to great value, work horse type knives.

My favorite brands are anything thats Becker/Kabar and Victorinox (especially the BK2, and Vic huntsman). Although i have to say there are some knives from Esee that i'm looking forward to purchase soon.

37 and typically like one hand openers, don't have to be taticool or anything. I have a few slip joints in my collection but they're mostly my father and grandfather's knives past down to me. In general I like most things edged!! My buddies think I'm crazy to pay as much for a knife as I would a pistol.

I'm 21, and I would probably fall into the tacticool category. I like big, strong tactical folders. Obviously, I'm a big Cold Steel fan, and so far that's most of what I own and EDC. I like Benchmade, and I'd love to buy a Mini Grip in OD and black. I also like Spyderco, but I haven't had a chance to handle or buy any of their knives. I'm planning on buying and EDC'ing an Endura FFG when I can afford it.

As for fixed blades, I only own a couple but would love to own more Cold Steel blades, as well as ESEE's, Ontario Spec Plus II's, and of course Busses.

I also like alox SAK's. I carry a Cadet daily, and I love it. It's traditional enough that it's not frightening, but I definitely prefer the more modern feel it has to it.

25 here and this is my small collection.

46 and like a little bit of everything. CR Knives, ESEE, Becker, Busse(kin), and most of the usual suspects. However, as I get older, I become more realistic about what and why I buy something. If I stick with quality products, I can get more of my money back out of the piece, should I decide to sell, than if it's 'middle-of-the-road' cutlery. When it comes to production, or even limited-production cutlery there are only a handful of companies out there that you can do that with. You'll pay more, but you can never go wrong with buying quality.

20 and i love mostly fb's
i only have 2 folders griptilian and the military, and i only like one of them. If I got another it would be a 710, a kershaw 200 or another mil.
For fixed blades i like 5 to 7 in synthetic handled clip points, like the a1 and srk, and stacked leather knives like the kabar army and really want a blackjack.

23, just turned today.

Benchmade and Spyderco for folders. I only have a Boss Street, but I think Busse is going to be my go to for fixed blades.
