I'll be 64, the full kit with grandson and granddaugters! My first knife was around 11, a green spanish navaja, I don't know where it is now, but we were playing silly games with the odd Opinel for several years before that . Thanks I don't know who, we kept our hands safe!

There's no specific law about knives here, you are theoretically not allowed to wear one except if you need some (try and find something looser...). In fact noone cares as long as you don't rush after people in the street with it. An urban legend says you're allowed to have a knife if no larger than the palm of a hand.
