Ah-oooooh! The Coyotes are here!

Looks like the perfect peanut sized GEC! Can't wait for mine to get here in the next couple days:thumbup:

It is a beautiful pattern. I was very interested when these were shown on the GEC website because I love a smaller knife that can fit into my watch pocket to go along with a regular sized EDC. However, I was surprised at how small the knife is compared to my #25. Not only is it shorter in length, but is much more narrow. By comparison, the #25 feels like a tank more suited to man-sized hands.

I agree with Trav and Barrett, compared with my usual watch pocket carries, Peanut, Swayback Gent, #06 Pemberton (single blade ), #09 Esquire, #22 Magnum, my current carry #25 Tidioute spearpoint is much more comfortable in the hand, so i am a little worried that when my Coyote gets here it will feel small, i got the jig bone thinking it would have a bit more bulk. Just going by pictures i imagine the Coyote is closest to the Swayback Gent in size and although i enjoyed the SBG that Case SS does not come close to GEC 1095 in my opinion.

Just bought an OD Green. It was an impulse purchase so I hope I don't end up with a case of buyer's remorse.

Very nice knives folks. I pre-ordered The Beagle instead of the Coyote but must admit they look great.

I'm on a bit of a small knife kick and these are super tempting - I love the arrow shields! I kind of wish they would've offered it in a wood other than osange orange, though, the grain is a bit plain on a lot of examples I see for sale (but there are some examples in this thread with some great character).

I could be mistaken but I believe the Northfields will have an African Blackwood variant.

Tallowwaters or any of you that have received an #18 that also have a peanut.
Can you speak to how thick the #18 is compared to a 2-blade (or single blade) peanut?
Thanks for any info!

It's a little thinner than my 2 blade peanut (off the top of my head; way from home right now). It feels quite a bit thinner due to the very soft shape, if that makes sense.

I got mine in today. Here's another size photo. The blade is 1 mm longer than the secondary on my Presidential. This is a very small knife in hand. Lightweight at 26 grams (about 0.92 ounce). It is pinchable to open. The Osage Orange is brilliant in the sun - it glows in areas on both sides.

Nice pic. They look great. I have the same Ebony Presidential and am waiting for my Osage Orange Coyote to arrive tomorrow. I wasn't convinced on the osage and almost went for the green micarta but decided I have several in that scale material so pulled the trigger on the osage. No regrets and I cant wait for mail call tomorrow.

Any ideas about other handle colors/materials we might see on the 18 coyote? I know ebony is on the way. Did I read that there might be natural micarta as well?
