Ah-oooooh! The Coyotes are here!

Mine arrived today. First thing I did was compare it to the peanut that I carry. Same size in length but thinner. I think it could be great for whittling and other every day needs.

Those two look great together.

Just got the Camo in. I know it's not for everyone, but I kinda like it. :D

I liked the camo, too. But then, I liked all 4 covers I saw. From my experience, GEC acrylic is fine. On the other hand, I wanted natural materials on this. I haven't bought woods in a while, so osage orange won out.

My OD Green #18 coyote arrived this a.m. along with a #54 Big Jack. Talk about a study in contrasts! The Coyote is cool, always have room in a pocket for a little utility blade. Emphasis on "little," though....

I think the Camo is just begging for a patina'ed blade. That may be a project for this afternoon. :D

I've always been a sucker for little knives. These coyotes are wonderful for my soul, but terrible for my checking account. So hard to resist this.

Wow !!! Nice Jigging. And that is the third type of shield on this run. Does it have the "PPP" etching on the pile side of the blade?

Not sure, but I doubt it. If I remember correctly when the #83s were released, only the Tidioutes had the PPP. The Northfileds were not considered the "premier" as the Tidioutes came first.

That makes sense. Thanks

The Coyotes look so good next to Talons, that I thought I would throw a Houndstooth in for fun. Serpentines gotta stick together.

Thank you! That makes it even a sweeter package. Like many others I'm concerned it may be a little on then small side but I'll try one to see. I have decided on an African Blackwood but the Northfield jigged bone above sure is tempting.

I wasn't planning on getting one of these, but the GEC pic of the Northfield in Natural Canvas Micarta looked so good, I parted with a little tax refund money tonight and ordered one. This will be my EDC to the office I think.
