I really don't see how making it easier to find the kind of knives you are interested in should bother anyone. If I want a non-Busse knife (not) I know where to go, and I don't have to wade through other threads to find what I'm really looking for -- the barnyard full of hogs, rats, and dogs.
 
The old way wasn't exactly broken. If I'm looking for a knife, I use the Search function, and I often find knives that have been overlooked. The folks that were complaining are under the mis-impression that every knife they want to buy (or sell) will/should always be on page 1 near the top. They obviously are too lazy to type a keyword into the Search box. Other than removing Busse owners as a target, I doubt this new forum changes things too much.

What has changed things, IMO, is the "no chatter" rule. If evenly applied, it does work to discourage groups from keeping their favorite brand near the top.

I don't look for certain brands on the exchange. I look for good deals, and I like many brands of knives. this only ensures that I will not be browsing the Busse section, as I do not browse the Buck forum.

If I have a sale, you will find it in the Production section.

Actually, no. When the Buck forum opened, you guys asked for one too. I simply was bad about getting it opened in time.

Does this mean we can chat in the Busse FS exchange, or bump quicker than 72hr - like 24h?

Or, do the same 'new' rules apply to the Sub-Forum.

Spark, there must have been a sea change in opinion since then, at least in certain circles. I've seen more than one thread where most Busse folks objected to the separate subforum. That's not to say it was a unanimous rejection, but the nays sure seemed to outnumber the ayes, if I'm recalling matters correctly. Maybe those threads were mostly here in the Busse subforum, however, and escaped the attention of mods outside this forum. Maybe the folks who want a separate sale forum were less inclined to speak up in this forum. I frankly can't explain it.

there were polls, and most of the votes for the forum were members who have no interest in Busse knives.

I like it this way, because I only look for Busse knives. But I can understand that this for some people frustrating is.

That is COOL! Now I don't hv to flip piles of junk in order to find a Busse sale thread I am looking for!!! Sure will save a lot of my time. :D
 
I think we should add an "Ergo" sub-sub-forum to the Busse sub-forum. For those of us that have an affinity to the "Es". ;)
