Albers Cutlery Company

I was reading about Celluloid and how it was crafted, back in the day.
In the article, I remember it saying that it was rolled up like a ball of dough. I wonder if the Corn husk Raffir is done in a similar way?
Maybe I just wonder too much. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣
Checking the thread for Taylor's knife. It got delivered today. 🐇🐇🐇⚡
Remember that letter written from one of the big guys at NYKC to his nephew saying we have a spot for you in the celluloid department? Circa 1920's.
😅
If you are interested we will cover your funeral costs 😂

what cover option is this?

Jack that's cocobolo. On two of the knives the handles were quartersawn rather than flatsawn. Quartesawn cuts accentuate the grain in the wood so I figured I'd give it a try on the cocobolo.

Beautiful pics as always everyone!!!!

While I'm here I might as well throw up a progress pic or two. Doing ridgeline jigged bone and Australian Beefwood (care of an amazing Aussie mate!) for this run:

Here's the beefwood under a knife with Amboyna Burl handles. Took that shot for Wooden Wednesday. I had a few pieces of Amboyna that I tried out on a couple of knives to see how they'd look, needless to say I'll be picking some up for a future batch. The beefwood will darken up once it's polished:

Ahhhh!! cocobolo has been a wonderful source of amusement this year for me since Bill cranked out so many models in cocobolo this year. Looking good Eric! Always liked the scale options you offer. they all have so much character after polishing

Gee whiz! Where have I been??? I've never heard of this guy. Looking at the website, these knives seem like an insanely amazing value. Mr. Albers, hats off to you for finding your niche in the knife market and offering a simple but stunning product. Keep cranking these things out, I can't wait to get my hands on one!
