Not only are these knives great to look at and collect (I love doing both!), they are also awesome for using!
I was staring down at a dead squirrel yesterday and wondering what I was going to use to skin the rascal. Of course, since I'm posting in this thread, it was my trusty maroon micarta handled Albers.
Once I had it sharpened by a great sharpener, it has been a pocket razor that has been a great whittling companion as well. The stainless aspect of the construction really shines here, because there is going to be plenty of blood and it is going to get in the pivot. But a quick rinse after in the sink and a shake out and right back in the pocket. There just isn't much day to day cutting that this little pocket gem can't handle.
I was also thrilled and lucky when I scored on the last drop! The Beefwood is sooooo cool!
