Albers Cutlery Company

Looks like the burl was the one to shoot for. I made a beeline for Ebony. My mistake apparently, that variant was gone in less than 10 seconds.

When I said that I couldn't have been any faster, I wasn't kidding. 😅

Eric might speak more to the quantities of each (if he wants to, of course), but in the photos he posted last week of several knives lined up on his work bench, it looked like there were only 5 ebony knives between a dozen or so each of the other woods, so there may not have been as many of them to compete over compared to the others.

Admittedly, I paid no attention to that. I just went for my first preference like I usually do on a release.

I am a fair hand at chess but once you start delving into that 4D level stuff, then I start to falter. 😁

oh wow, i suddenly dont feel that bad that I missed it. i was fiddling around with paypal and clicked the wrong thing. guess it doesnt honor in the cart. oh well

I was using the link in the email and figured out you can't check out using the preview....too late.
OMG, that's what I did. I was in preview mode the whole time. That explains the strange errors when trying to check out.

Lol, and I thought I was prepared....using ApplePay I should have been able to check out without going through the hassle of PayPal sign in.

Lesson learned :(

I’ve struck out on the last several drops and have been taking a break from knives the past several months but I happened to be in my email at the right time and got even luckier at 8pm est.

Wanted the ebony but figured everyone would target the wood first so I went for the red jigged bone and was able to checkout with Apple Pay.

Looking forward to this one. My last was a clip in stag quite some time ago.

That was my thought process as well. Wanted the Ebony, but I recall seeing not that many Ebony ones in of the pre-production posts. So, just zeroed in on the red jigged bone that I also wanted, but thought others might not want as much. Pretty exciting to finally snag one of these!

suppose I got as much chance of catching an Alber's drop these days as I do ea42 ea42 putting endcaps on, well maybe some day. at least Ill always have these, generations and years of Eric's of hardwork and dedication to the endeavor.

I wonder if you will redesign the clip at some point, or maybe even go spear?

To your continued and future success ea42 ea42

That’s a nice selection of Albers! What’s the material on the far left?
