Albers Cutlery Company

This was my first Albers and I will be keeping forever. Landed the Stag. Super pumped. I've had a post in the WTB for a long time now and no one has reached out with one to sell. Hoping for more sawcut bone or mammoth in the near future so I can try to grab those as well.
Hey, cool. Happy for you. I think I'll stick with GEC. I have much better luck with their releases, the blades patina, and I like the variety.

I won't be trying for these again. My time is too valuable.

Cada a loco con su tema. 🤷

I mean, you only need a minute of your time every month or two to try for one. ;) They're gone that fast.

I set an alarm on my phone earlier today. Then I left my phone in the other room while making dinner and came back to it going off at 7:05. 🤣

I was mostly interested in seeing if the phrasing in the email (“…variety of handle materials including…”) meant there might be something other than just the three listed. I was hoping for a nice Micarta maybe. (I’m still sore about missing that Westinghouse shadow-pattern clip point…) 🙄🤣

I hope some more Porch folks got ahold of one this time around, and that those who missed out are able to get one eventually.

Hey folks, I apologize to those of you who missed out. This old coot just can't make them anywhere near fast enough to cover even a fraction of the demand. I'm going to see about getting some help in the near future for sure. One suggestion I might make is to utilize the option on the website to open an account. You can save all your info in your account which makes checkout much faster. I've had a number of people get a knife on several drops and this seems to be the method they use.

I'm going to try to get more done for the next drop. These last couple of months were a bit of a nightmare for me and I got knocked way behind. Hopefully things will be back to normal now.

Also, there's something funky going on with trying to check out via the email. I'm not sure what preview mode is so I've reached out to get to the bottom of it. I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong on the emails or something to do with the web host. The only thing I can suggest in the interim is to either refresh the web page once you link to it or just navigate to the web page without using the email as a link. This is something that only cropped up recently so right now I'm at a loss as to what's going on. It should hopefully be straightened out by the next drop.

I was on i immediately. When I added it to my cart and tried to pay they were all gone. For us Luddites it might be helpful not to mention a specific drop time. The only times I’ve been successful and actually gotten one of your beautiful knives is when you didn’t.
Cheers, Dan

I don’t think an apology is necessary here.

Thumbs up to you and keep doing what you are doing. I can’t imagine anything I make that can stirrup this level of enthusiasm and then disappointments when someone didn’t get them lol.

Hats off to you!

That's awesome! The stag looks incredible. We'd love to see photos when it arrives.

No complaints here, just pleased to see Eric doing another run, and more folks getting hold of a Lambsfoot. I'm very grateful for the one I have from the last run 🙂👍

Just got the email! 😁 Those look fantastic Eric, well done 👍 Looking forward to seeing more of them 👍

I consider myself very fortunate to have a micarta fixed blade, a bone clip and a wood lambsfoot. Only the FB was bought off the drop, as they sat there for some time, I think maybe even an hour or more. The two folders have been at the largesse of other porch dwellers. Those of you who didn't score, keep looking and trying on the secondary market, and best fortune in the hunt.

Maybe Eric needs to consider a reverse auction for his knives. Start them out on the website at $500 each, and every minute drop them $10 until they sell. Not sure if the software can do this or not, but at least people would get the knives for what they think they are worth, and Eric gets all the profit. Don't see scalpers paying $500 or even $400, but someone might value them that highly for a family heirloom.

Yeah had the account logged in refreshed at 8:00:01 added to cart hit the pay and out of stock…got to be lucky to hit the refresh just right.
