Alcohol Stove

I'd like to believe, but I dont understand what will keep the Al stove from burning up in a couple or 3, 4 hot fires.

They get a little brittle over time but no melt downs. I have one that I have used at least 50 times with no signs of burning out. I'm talking about the thick wall aluminum, not the common thin aluminum cans. I'm not sure how long they last.

A wood fire can easily get hot enough to melt aluminum. I've seen at least one report of melting a Swiss stove.

Got my Swiss Volcano Stove today from Amazon courtesy of Cutlery USA. But there is no courtesy in this at all! The unit was listed as new...it certainly is not, not only was it used it was beat to crap! Dented beyond standing. Thats right, it wont even stand up. Idiots at Cutlery USA for listing it that way and even sending it that way! So if anyone know where to get one that is used in good condition let me know. Thanks

Oh and I got my Vargo Triad Stove yesterday from an eBay Storefront Seller...once again garbage! the units welds are absolutely horrible and the unit came scratched up beyond. WTF!! Batting .000 today! Damn it!

I made a stove bracket/stand out of alloy and havent tested it yet
The thought of boiling water splashing is scary.

BTW ... How do you stop your thread being moved to another area? My firebow one got moved unfortunately :(
