All about Bucklites and Selector's & 110's & 112's LTs and Slims ...

Nothing fancy just a good ol working knife which is my EDC. This was my first good quality knife I ever bought with my own money. Ten years old I think I paid $30.00 for it. That was a lot for a kid in 1991.

I love my first Bucklite... I paid 12.00 for it about 26 years ago or so... and she still looks like new... It's goes every where I go...
I like to see knives that have been used... Good picture of your Bucklite... ITE ...

why I bought another one, who knows. Apparently knife collecting can be addicting....

Thanks Doug, for sharing some pictures of your Bucklites...:thumbup::thumbup: ...

Yesterday I won a first generation 422 on a popular auction site. It's a user but looks to have a lot of life left in it. The sheath shows more wear than the knife. I am pretty excited about it. I will post a picture of it when I get it.

It's the maroon one. My original one was green with the camo sheath but I am still really pleased to have this one. The sheath is in better shape than I expected but is really dirty. Anybody have any tips or tricks for cleaning it?

Please excuse my poor picture taking and photo posting skills but I really wanted to show off my 422 a little. When I first held it I'm my hand lots of old memories came to mind, all good, and it nearly brought a tear to my eye. Silly I know but it does take me back in time.

I have a Bucklite III 426BK with a maroon handle & a drop point blade. I was told they were extremely rare. Can anyone tell me how many were made and in what year. There is no date code on this knife.

Gene, the 426 was made in 1984 and for the first two years, the 426 came with a 3.6-inch drop point blade...
You can read more about your knife on page 22 part 2 in this thread... I wouldn't say that they are rare...
The 110 guys like to buy them up for the drop point blade... They show up on the bay now and than...
Do you have any pictures... We all love pictures... ITE ...

Here's a 422BB... This is a hard one to find... Well for me it was...
I got this 422 bead blasted Bucklite in a small collection...
I think I have every Bucklite now... I not even close...
But i'm trying to get one or 3 of each... I have 3 Grand kids... ;) Help...

422BB...

Can someone tell me how to post photos from your computer? I tried to post pictures of my 426, but it asks for a url.

Get a photobucket account (it's free) once you load your pictures to it you copy the code from "direct" and paste it into the box that appears when you click on the photo icon from the toolbar.

Jim, I usually slip the dirty sheath into the cargo pocket of some shorts, and throw them into the washer machine, gentle soap/gentle cycle. Air dry. For the really dirty sheath, I hand wash with gentle soap and warm water, then air dry. As you know, those old Buck nylon sheaths are tough, and my home remedies don't seem to do any harm...but it sure got out of old dirt without sacrificing the character and wear of the sheath.

Here's a few pics of that 426. The box says Black, but that handle doesn't look black to me.

Nice knife... Its has the wrong box and sheath... Most of us collector like to get are knives in there original box
and with there original sheath... But I do find lots of Buck knives with out there box and sheath... and I still buy
them... I got one like your a few weeks ago for 18.00... :) ... There's a picture of it on here some where...

Here's a sweet green camo 422X... I got this one from Steve S in a collection...

422X...

There has to be more COOL Bucklites out there... Let's see them...

:)

Armand…I reserve the right to post these on your SPS too. :)
I wanted to put them here also because they belong here too.
I have been patiently waiting and acquiring my complete set of nine 1988 BuckBrites (6) and MiniBuck (3) knives for several years now.
I just received my final one in the mail today to complete this set!!
They all come in the original two piece color coded boxes.
I always liked these little buggers ever since I gave my wife a peach BuckBrite back in 1989. She always had it with her in her purse and I still have it today.

WOOHOO!!!! I'm in Armand's BuckLite thread at post #500!!
