All-American Knives?

O OrangeBlueOrangeBlue

I might be missing it but are you trying to make a point that Spyderco isn’t an American company? There was a time where Spyderco made nothing in America.

Maybe I missed the entire point of the thread and it’s referring to 100% American made. If that’s the case I apologize.

The question posed by OP was "are there any knife manufacturers that try their best to make sure they do as much in the States as possible?".

I think if the majority of your production is in Japan, Taiwan, and China, it's hard to say you're doing "as much as possible" domestically. That doesn't mean they're not an American company, it just means they do a huge chunk of their stuff overseas.

Your opinion is not accurate. Entire line ? That’s a big exaggeration. Maybe you should get better informed! I think you also missed the point of the original post or you’re just trying to make this one yours.

I don't think they meant the whole company lineup, but for instance Spyderco has two different Chinese product lines between Byrd and the Tenacious family+offshoots, then their Seki City Japan and Taiwan lines, and Maniago. That's not including the smaller shops like Moki that never really handled a whole product line the way Seki City does their Delica family.

For people who like old fashioned looking folders, like CaseXX knives, there's also Hen & Rooster. I've got a nice Congress style knife I got by them.

I remember Chuck Buck saying he really didn't want to do any off shore production but needed a less expensive line in todays market.
