I thought I'd start this thread, to unclutter the Survive! knives poll thread in the makers for sale section. I'll start it off with a little knife pron, my latest aquisition:

It's from the limited run of cerakoted EDC-4's, the predecessor to his current GSO 4.1. Handle is slightly different from the current offering. But it's a great little knife. Can't wait to get out and use it. Oh, and sheath by Kiah. Love his stuff, and this is certainly typical of his fine work. Just love the g-clip...

Unless I'm mistaken, what you have there raindog is an EDC-4 3V. I picked up one from Edgeworks(local) as well a while ago with the titanium blue coating. It is essentially the proto or first iteration of Guys production 4" knife. I'll have to get some pics of it and the 5.1 Elmax up. Guy is putting out fantastic knives!

Yep, you are correct sir. I was just simplifying things for those that might have wandered over from the preorder thread and have no idea what the EDC-4 is. From what I understand, the only differences here are the cerakote finish, and the slight alteration in the handle design (hidden lanyard hole and bowdrill divot are the current changes). And post up those 5.1 pics soon! I have to see if I need one:D

Thanks for starting this thread, raindog101.
I am excited to compare the 4's headed my way to some other knives I have in this size.
Also, i am very pleased by how slim Kiah is keeping these sheaths if yours is a good example. It could still stand to lose a bit around the perimeter, but he kept it nice and simple. I should send him pics of my kydex drop-loop extension... (I cannot comfortably use high-ride)

The in-hand shots also get me excited for future neck-knife and folder offerings!!

How come I can't find any info on this folder you guys are referring to? Can someone hit me up with a link?

Lol I'm just kidding about the folder. I remember I had a conversation with him on facebook about it. No details about it other than it will be out next year. He said he wants to keep this one a secret.

Got a M390 on the way. Ordered it without the sheath though, but I think I'm gonna change my mind on that. Thought I was just going to stick it in an empty Spec Ops I had lying around.

Here's the 5.1 in Elmax w/ black micarta and black sheath, please bare the shoddy cell phone pics.:p

Since the white balance is off the colors seem a bit cold.

White balance is still off, here's a Zippo for size reference.

Wanted to try a 10'o clock horizontal carry so I removed the stock clip and added a 550 cord wrap.

I suck at posting pics lol:D

Can't wait either. I have a GSO-10 on preorder and two 4.1's in M-390 on preorder. Next will be the GSO-7 and probably the folder when available.

Since you bothered to make this other thread, here are some user submitted photos. I love my job right now. ;)

For you guys who like something a bit more "dressy", I'll be offering some custom GSO-5.1's in CPM-3V, with Bark River's full convex grinding. Here is a photo of the first two samples, along side a production GSO-5.1. They aren't as brutish in design as my production model, with more focus placed of sheer cutting efficiency, that Bark River is so well known for. All of these will have epoxied and corby'd handles, with a matte handle finish. Only about 30 will ever exist, with only about 20-25 going to the open market.

Those look purty. Is this going to be a regular collaboration, or a one-time-only deal?

I handled the EDC-4 and it felt great. I'd love to see some side by side pics of it with the 5.1.
