I like the Sharpmaker more than the Lansky set up, it gets them really sharp with less effort and mess. My Eskabar and 5 came in today. The Esky is sweet and I totaly love it, but the handle is a bit small for my hand, as in short. But then, it's supposed to be an unobtrusive neck knife, so that matters little to me in the big picture. Just something that I noticed immediately. Love the lil' bugger though. :thumbup:
 
Sorry, I just noticed this thread. I want to get geared up, but since the weather changed so drastically recently, I don't know if I should be getting more ski stuff or maybe a speedo...:D :barf: :D

I'm down for a discount code in any case though. Maybe for Smartwool stuff, or a good compass/clinometer.

I don't come here to be on a list. I don't come here to get freebies, I could care less actually. I just like Becker knives and the outdoors. Thankfully they dovetail, so lucky me. That's all I need or want. If you guys are setting up benefits for Becker enthusiasts then you are good people. Have fun, I wish you the best in your endeavors. :)

most of the people aren't here to be on a list. it's just a fun thing. plus, we can do good things with it sometimes.

SOME people LOVE lists and will do anything to be on ONE right now, and reap the benefits without heed to quality.

quality is good. whatever that is :)

Unfortunately, i dont think id take advantage of such a discount, only because buying gear from the US costs a small fortune in shipping, import fees and VAT. But, hey...one should never say never, right? :D

My bro-in-law ran a Surefire through the washer and dryer. It came out and worked great. My 80 lumen SF is as bright as my 250 lumen Fenix but I still like it. A friend lost a NovaTac EDC 120 that was really nice. Beat the above mentioned anyway.
 
Where are these codes. I have like $63 and it is burning a hole in my PayPal account. Oh, and I need the code to last longer than 3 days, 'cause it will take me a while to figure out exactly what I need. And there is a possibility it will need to cover some serious mountaineering gear, namely all that I can't bum off a friend.

Where are these codes, anyway...? :D

Its a limited time offer by a Bladeforums gear dealer. It lasts for 3 days and will be over the weekend of January 14-16. The code should be emailed out the wednesday or thurday before. It isn't store wide, just on some items, but it should be a benefit for us.
