It would be well worth it, I'm sure.Wow. That’s a beauty. Time to refinish mine from my grandfather the tool maker!
What a great find. While I was at the flea market yesterday, my buddy was in an antique shop back in Wisconsin and he sent me this picture. He was able to talk to lady into knocking some money off of it, and he picked it up for me. It will eventually make the 2000 mile trek out to the Pacific Northwest, and I will figure someplace to put it for knife storage.

I've been looking at those Gerstner's as well. It's definitely a step up from the Plano tackle boxes I keep mine in, hey at least they're air tight & waterproof!A compromise with wife...cherry Gerstner journeyman. (26w×17h×9 1/2d)

Will do. The Bay has some, but wife did not like the oak look.I've been looking at those Gerstner's as well. It's definitely a step up from the Plano tackle boxes I keep mine in, hey at least they're air tight & waterproof!
Let me know how it works out for you!
Beautiful rehab.Oh, and I also scored this Gerstner at the same Rummage Sale as that display case...just finished cleaning it up and replacing hardware a few weeks ago
