I figured as long as I wasn't running things back and forth on the strip, there wouldn't be any chance of them magnetizing. I guess I had been wanting a demagnetizer too. So... 
Digging up this old thread as it was the first that came to mind. I had been wanting something to better organize / display my fixed blades and pocket knives. Santa delivered!! Well, technically my wife... and no, she didn't dress up in a fat red suit
This magnetic bar is something many are probably familiar with. I had these fixed blades sitting on a knife mat atop my gun safe. But, I couldn't really see them in my day to day easily. Attached this bar to the side of the safe, and now they feel more "on display" and I can see them anytime I make coffee which is nice! If anyone has precautions for using a magnetic bar like this near knives/guns... please let me know
This was, in my opinion, a little bit more clever of an idea. One I'm not sure anyone here was aware of, although maybe I'm late to the party. I found out they make these UV protective display cases for hot wheel cars of all things! They're quite affordable, too! The shelves are removable if you need more vertical space, but I find each shelf is about the perfect height. Plenty of rows, and the fact that it protects them from UV as well is a nice bonus! It even has locks on the latches, not that it would stop anybody from taking the whole thing off the wall or just busting it open
Very excited about the wall mounted display case though. All of these used to just be in an old vintage plano tackle box for bass lures my grandfather passed down to me. I couldn't fit all of my knives in this display case. But, I can now enjoy seeing my favorite knives all at once whenever I want. And, it spices the room up a bit and is much easier to show friends that come over!
She gave me three.of those display cabinets and said I want to see all your knives now.......Last year I gave her a GL Drew made carbon Damascus kitchen utility knife and this year a.Spyderco small Murray Carter kitchen knife...... Bot h bit her within hours of first use.....Officially yours now Mum.
