When I received Carls peanut, I wanted to share the gospel of the peanut Damascus. This pattern has changed my outlook on knives.

I thought about what I could do and a giveaway was in order.

A yeller Case cv nut to be precise.

Entering is easy. This is open to all Bladeforums members. I would prefer that this goes out to someone that doesn't own a peanut. If you own a peanut already, you can also enter but it would be great if you would give the peanut to someone you think would appreciate it. Again not a stipulation.

If you want to share anything, it is not necessary but I would appreciate any pics. I would like to know who your knife influences are too, but it is not necessary. For example, mine are Carl and Scott Gossman.

This is open to all. USA or outside the USA. I will ship and do my best to make sure it gets to you. If you live outside the USA, I am not responsible once it gets outside the USA.

One entry per person, this will close June 1st. A random number generator will choose the winner. Pics will be posted tomorrow I just got home.

Good luck!

There is nothing like a yeller Case cv nut
A scapel

Not an entry

Good luck to all

Never owned a peanut. Just starting with traditionals really. Have a few GECs and a Case Trapper.

Thanks for your generosity Dan. Like you I've been heavily influenced by Carl. I didn't grow up around slipjoints, so I was a blank canvas when I first started hanging around here. I read everything he wrote, and while my tastes don't necessarily align with his I always listen. I've even picked up a few knives that remind me of the ones in his stories (i.e., knives like Mr. Van's, Captain Martin, Reverend Harding, Granddad, and Trapper Bill).

BTW I got a chuckle from the Star Wars reference. While I can't have a lightsaber I always try to make sure the edge of my blade glows. ;)

Not an entry.

Only own 1 case so I'd love to add a Peanut to the rotation.
I'm in & thanks for the chance

I'm in, thanks! Don't have a peanut, but would love to see what all the fuss is about! Here is a pic of my favorite traditional:

Thanks for the chance, Dan. Not an entry though! I just want to thank your for your contribution to the forums :)

Good luck to everyone and almost congratz to the lucky winner of such a nice and useful tool!

I would like an opportunity to win the GAW. I am just getting into traditionals more seriously and CV is one of my favorites. My current collection is a pair of classic Old Timers, a CV Sodbuster and a newly acquired GEC #92 Talon. I mostly am drawn to the single blade slipjoints, but this would be a great chance to try a 2 blade.

I have just started my new addiction (around 3 wks ago) to traditional knives. Didn't even se it coming. About two months ago I started studying steels, next thing I know I am a gold member and I have spent hours reading. I only own two GECs so a peanut would be awesome. I am in. Thank you for the chance and everyone on BF for the education.

Thanks for opening this to non-USA members! I've only just started researching traditional folders last week and as such do not own any yet. Would really appreciate the opportunity to own this peanut. Cheers!

Good One Dan-

Im in :)

A while back I was debating on what small knife to get. Wound up getting a case mini copperhead. Would love to make a comparison with the legendary peanut!

I am in. I have been lurking for some time and now I am signed up. I have always use stockman's and trapper's. some are case, but have never had a peanut, I have been thinking about them after reading so much about them on this forum. Have a great weekend all.
