I just picked up a peanut off the exchange, so please do not count me in. Thank you for offering the giveaway, regardless.

I just wanted to say that one of my influences in doing what I do with knives is Dale Vincent (Orvet). He is a great person/friend, and is always willing to share his knowledge, whether the history of a pattern, or with some technical advice for a budding modder like myself. His encouragement motivated me to "up my game" and truly enjoy making things for others.

Would also like to try one. Haven't had a traditional that really speaks to me. If i win and don't like it will re-GAW it. Please count me in. Thanks.

Hi Dan and thanks for the chance. I have never owned a Case Peanut, always thought they were a little small. I have always favored barlows and two blade jacks 3 1/4" - 3-3/4".
My influence is Charlie C., aka Waynorth.
Below is a picture of one of my Keen Kutter barlows in red bone. A yellow peanut would go great with that. :D Thank You.

Double Ott, you da winnah!

The Force is strong with this one.

Dan, WOW...Thank you so much. As I said I don't have a Peanut. But, I always taken time to review the members posts about them in the "Cult of the Peanuts" thread. I also don't own a yellow handled Case. One of the first folders I bought in my early teens was a yellow 2 blade Imperial tooth pick with fish scaling blade. I still have it (that was about 50 years ago).

I have also admired the "Yellow" posts that we see here all the time. A yellow Case Peanut has to be one of the quintessential traditional folders.

I don't know why I haven't bought a Peanut??? I guess I can put this all behind me now as I now have a truly classic traditional pocket knife.

Thank you so much for offering your Peanut in this give away. It was most generous and kind of you to do so.

Again, my sincere thanks to you.

My best regards, Tom

EDIT: Dan, I saw your P.M. and have replied to you...Thank you so much, Tom

My Case XXX yellow Peanut arrived today. She is new, with box, tissue and papers, with sharp factory edges on both blades. I only have 3 or 4 Case folders and this one surprised me in that it has half stops for both blades. The compact size of the Peanut is really sweet. I now understand why there is a Cult of Peanut owners.

Dan, Again, my sincere thanks to you for offering this great GAW.

My regards, Tom

I'm glad you like it man, I apologize for the tardiness. I also apologize for the lack of pics, throw some up with your favorite beverage and the little bugger.

Congratulations Tom, on getting a peanut. You will now experience the wonder of the tiny but wicked cutter. In the first days of new ownership, it will probably give you a little nip to gain some respect. I strongly suggest reading the Cult instructions on peanut use and care, they can be touchy little things that don't take kindly to being under estimated.

Of course, you will be confronted by a rather large man with a bright red fez on his head who will ask you to get into a yellow Checker taxi driven by a midget. Don't argue, you need to be initiated into The Cult. Resistance is futile.

Carl, Grand High Muckba of The Cult.
