How many people have bought off this site?? I just ordered 2 pc games and this is the first time I have used them. is this a good site to buy games off of?? It is going to take 6 days to get them to me.

There are two sides to Amazon. Sometimes, you are buying from Amazon themselves and they are considered abou as good an on-line retailer as any. For some items, your order placed through Amazon is fulfilled by one of their partners; these are sometimes lesser service. But, being an Amazon partner is lucrative for a business and so most strive to give good service lest Amazon drop them. Personally, I have had nothing but good results on all Amazon orders either way.

Yep. I order from them without a worry at all. I've probably ordered a couple dozen times and have had nothing but good service from them.

I order from them for lots of stuff. They are generally very good. Their 3rd party businesses are pretty good overall, but occasionally there is a glitch. But Amazon will get involved quickly to deal with 3rd party problems.

We order so often that we got the free trial Amazon Prime, which gives free shipping on various things. It worked so well we now pay for the Amazon Prime option.

As I noted in another thread, Amazon has our credit card that is dedicated to internet purchases. It is separate from our main credit card. Just for extra security, not that we have had a problem.

well I just used mine and I have used it before for internet buys. I see they don't do paypal hehehe. I wonder why?? my games are suppose to be here by the 16th so we shall see.

well Monday I got a email from Amazon saying they tried to deliver the package but they could not. I just called UPS and they have no idea what they are talking about. I will get it Wednesday like I was suppose to.

Amazon is the largest online retailer there is. Many people buy things from there. I order some electronics that I use for my job (like wireless routers, modems, unmanged network switches, etc). They do not specialize in any one thing, so if you call and talk to someone about the products on their site, you will not be talking to someone that is familiar with them (typical reseller). Amazon does not use PayPal because they are or were trying to launch their own automatic payment system. Also, it wouldn't make any sense adding another link in the chain as it were when they have the ability to run their own.

good. I cant wait for it. screw paypal. I hope they really do it and hurt paypal big time.

You said you haven't used Paypal in "20 years". Never mind they've only been around since 2000 (13 years).
I think I bought off of ebay about 20 years ago and I have not been back there since. when I do sell a knife I refuse to take paypal only money orders. I have been doing that with paypal about the same time.

How do they affect you at all...?

not at all. I get a heck of lot of US postal money orders in all of the time. I don't like paypal and they have been around more than 13 years. maybe you are talking about when ebay bought them. I sell on a bunch of auctions in my day and the other sites really don't care about them either.

Ive ordered through amazon quite a lot and I have not a single complaint.

usually I get items before promised delivery date, dew times a day or two late, no big deal.

Amazon is a great retailer...I had them put the tail back on my tiger last week.
On a serious note... I just ordered my laundry detergent from them. Cheaper than walmart and its delivered to my door!

As usual, Gollnick sums it up succinctly - I could not add to this, as this has been my experience exactly.

I love Amazon and get most of my blades there. They often have the lowest prices, and we have added the "Prime" feature to our Amazon account that gets us "free" next day or two day delivery. On the rare occasions when I have done a return, they sent me the replacement item before I got sent my return to them. They rock.

but they don't sell switchblades. I did a search and could not find any. have you?? I must of made a mistake I thought paypal was older than 13 years. I am sorry. I know once ebay bought them I stop taking them as payment because I mainly sell switchblades on the net. I am out of sales because of my health so I only sell switchblades. once they are gone then I am done. It gives me something to do. I cant get out much any more.

I like amazon for most stuff, but when it comes to blades, I got burned twice.
1st with a buck 110 - directly from Amazon. The grind was completely off / asymetrical.
2nd on a mil spec hest II - not from amzon directly. Same problem, grind was off. Seller won't agree to an exchange, since the price was the lowest arrownd.

Had to use the warranty in both cases ( still pending on the hest).
Unnecessary complication. Maybe there is a reason they have the lowest prices on blades...

I buy a lot from Amazon. If I'm buying any software, I prefer to buy the download. I ordered 2 more 4gb memory modules for my iMac and I received them in 2 days from Amazon. They were genuine Apple modules and I couldn't be happier.

I purchased the prime as well after a free trial. I got a great deal over the weekend on a great camera that came directly from amazon.

I haven't used paypal in about ten years and then rarely. Have yet to have anyone, private or business, refuse my business because I won't use paypal.

We use amazon quite often. Actually waiting on two inbound parcels now. Never had a problem. I'm sure if we did, amazon would correct it.
