Should have bought some stock in that company a few years ago, it could have been a good investment. ;)

95% of my online purchases are from amazon. Getting things sold by amazon is always better. You are assured consistency with products and easy of return if you wish. I am a prime member and its a great subscription. You get two day shipping on anything prime items, a subscription to their prime instant video which can be accessed through their app via your tv, dvd player, iphone, ipad..and so on. You also get a book a month but you need a kindle. I buy things from them just to test them out and return them. Prime members also have no restocking fees when returning.

I shop Amazon and have absolutely no issues with it. Guess some folks do however...

Just to show that there's always another side of the coin, here's AMAZON SUCKS.

"You can please some of the people some of the time. But not all of the people all of the time..."

Amazon Prime alone has 10M members (link), and with that many people there are bound to be some real and perceived customer service issues. But Amazon, Wal-mart, etc. don't get to be the biggest by accident. They do it by bringing the greatest happiness to the most people. I'm one of those happy people, who is now waiting on an Amazon Cold Steel Recon 1 XL clip point. Yeah baby.

I love Amazon and get most of my blades there. They often have the lowest prices, and we have added the "Prime" feature to our Amazon account that gets us "free" next day or two day delivery. On the rare occasions when I have done a return, they sent me the replacement item before I got sent my return to them. They rock.

Yeah, but you live in KY so they automatically collect the 6% sales tax. That evens out the savings a bit as compared to out of state sellers, although I realize you are supposed to report this lost tax revenue on your 740 form anyway.

I've never really shopped for knives there. Maybe I should start.

Another Amazon Prime subscriber here, nothing but good to say. I buy just about everything there besides groceries. Free 2-day shipping, or really cheap 1-day pays for itself real quick. Always comes when expected, sometimes earlier. They've been good about resolving any issues I've had.

The video on demand service (Instant Video?) is also really nifty. I have one of those Smart TVs, so I can stream TV shows and movies for free off of Prime (and Netflix). That alone makes it worthwhile for me, as I don't pay for cable anymore. Also, free book rentals on my Kindle (and discounts on buying) pays for itself once again.

So yeah... I have nothing but good things to say about Amazon and Amazon Prime. The service is well worth it for me.

I'm saving more money and getting faster shipping from Amazon than anywhere else on the interweb. If some of you guys want to crap on that, that's fine with me. It just means more knives for Powernoodle on Amazon.

I order from Amazon a few times per week. They're the best. Easy returns and no hassles on deadbeat vendors selling through Amazon.

I like amazon for most stuff, but when it comes to blades, I got burned twice.
1st with a buck 110 - directly from Amazon. The grind was completely off / asymetrical.
2nd on a mil spec hest II - not from amzon directly. Same problem, grind was off. Seller won't agree to an exchange, since the price was the lowest arrownd.

Had to use the warranty in both cases ( still pending on the hest).
Unnecessary complication. Maybe there is a reason they have the lowest prices on blades...

I have used Amazon Prime for at least five years, I buy from amazon at least once a week.
Their prices are almost always amongst the lowest, and returns are pretty easy too.
(I've returned A LOT of items).
It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the return policy of any third party seller.
That said, I don't know of any of them that refuse to accept returns for defective merchandise.
If you do have an issue with a 3rd party amazon is quick to step in and remind them who the customer is.

The other great thing about Prime is the free movies / shows and the cloud music player.
Over the past decade I have bought a lot of music from them, now that they have the cloud
player I find that I have a player with 5000+ songs in it. That's pretty cool!

+1!!! What ^ said. I have ordered a lot of items off of Amazon and am subscribed to Prime. Nothing but good positive things to say about them. Returns are easy also. From my experience they always ship on time.

That's weird, I have only ever had two problems with them.

First was last year, bought a mop and it arrived with the handle absoultely destroyed- they just wrapped paper around it. We called them in and they asked if we wanted a replacement or a refund, we opted for a refund. So we bought the same mop local and now we have an extra head/wipey thing.

The second time was this week. My sister got me a gift of a decanter and glass set. It arrived with one of the 6 glasses broken. She called them up and they sent out a new one which got here today. So now I have a full glass set, and my brother-in-law got a decanter and glass set less one glass.

I love amazon.

Speaking of groceries, I noticed today that in the Seattle and Los Angeles markets they are testing a same day grocery service called amazon fresh.

same here, nothing but good experiences. I actually just ordered a combination 1000 and 6000 king waterstone today, can't wait to try it!

Nothing but positive things to say about Amazon for me as well as long as you buy from Amazon and not a 3rd party that is selling through Amazon. Only had two issues and neither of them were Amazon's fault but they still sent me a replacement over night and a return label to send the faulty item back to them. Customer service doesn't get better than that in my opinion at least not when you're dealing with an online company.

well I bought 2 games. 1 from them and the other from one of the dealers that see on there. I am happy. have not played them yet but that is on me.
