Tsimi , when he communicates with this forum is a mild mannered fellow, but when he gets a khukuri in his hand, metamorphosizes into a HIKV addict, temporarily forgetting his mild mannered side and acknowledges his HIKV.....However, once Tsimi reverts back to his usual self, he no longer remembers his HIKV and can truthfully say that he does not have HIKV, but is a "researcher".Speaking of which, can any one post a picture of Tsimi in his Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde phases so that we can be sure to properly identify him?

Tsimi, I've been in the gas chamber too, but I didn't volunteer to sit down or take a deep breath while I was at it. It's since been shut down, and a new execution room built out at Ely ( or is the new max out of Elko? )
Interesting bit of historical trivia, the old maximum prison was originally a restaurant and hotel. You know the Mark Twain saying about nothing being safe while the legislature is in session? Samuel's brother Orion Clemens was some high muckey-muck in the state's government while Sam wrote for the Virginia City paper. I believe it was the Territorial Enterprise, and they didn't bother to change the name after Nevada got statehood.
Back to the restaurant and hotel, the legistature was in fact very much in session, and one evening after adjourning the representatives of the people had such a good time out there that when presented with the repair bill for the damages, they decided instead to buy the place on behalf of the state.
And thus began what my old boss's dad Art Bernard, refered to as Greystone U. He was Greystone U.'s warden, er, Dean. Matter of fact he named his boy Dean while he was warden. Isn't that interesting

Anyway, I hope they open it up again some day as a museum. Death Row was in the remnants of the quarry they used to cut out the stone for the rest of the prison.

The picture on the left is of the carivorous plant from the play/movie Little Shop of Horrors. That is my Audrey's namesake ( Audrey is a 12" sirupati with a definite attitude ).
As for Yosemite Sam, some of us are indeed several decades behind the times out here in the sticks. And if the bleeping Highway Patrol takes one of the other two roads ( to Tonopah or to Fallon ) out of town, I can make it to Yosemite in under an hour. If the Basques ain't moving their sheep to a different pasture. Only 80 odd miles, no sweat for a real Nevadan to get there in an hour.
Plus there are Aurora, Bodie, Candelaria, and plenty of other ghost towns around. I was looking around last night for a Yosemite Sam avatar to use. Haven't found the right one yet, though.
Incidentally, Blues will be off the net for the week, so maybe we should make this " be kind to Tsimi " week. Kill him with kindness, so to speak.
