And The Snark Goes On

LMAO, man i feel a little ill thinking about that as well... Yuck. Man i wonder how he came up with that idea, someone should have stopped him LOL

Peanut butter and grits is awesome. I love me some grits. Grits with PB, grits with cheese, grits with butter, salt, and pepper, grits with eggs, sausage, bacon and onions all mixed in ... I just love grits.

dammit now i want some grits LMAO

I detest mayo on nearly everything. The only 2 places I'll use it is in potato salad (and I add mustard to help counteract it) and in tuna fish, but I add onions, apples, sweet pickle relish, pepper and chili powder to the tuna.

Well, here's hoping the thunderstorms are over for the night. My blue heeler is scared of thunder and won't let me sleep if it's thundering. She's gone to sleep now so maybe I can too.

I has been a wet, thundery kind of evening. Supposedly 5+ inches over in parts of Bryan. We aren't equipped for that kind of downpour.

Don't give me this, "everyone likes different things" - to each his own nonsense. Then you end up with people like my dad putting peanut butter, banana, and mayonnaise all on one sandwich. And that's just wrong, wrong, wrong.

This is how I roll too. Preferably with a side of plain Lay's potato chips and a cold Coke.

Now I just want a sandwich. God knows how many calories I burnt camping with the kids. It's hard work, especially an overnighter with paddling. I'm thinking pimento cheese or maybe egg salad.

Very cool Biscuit. I may have to get a Junglas one of these days.

I won that Junglas using a BK-9 in a chopping contest. :p. Somewhere I have the very similar RTAK-II I need to dig out and sell.

I may have to find a new forum to hang out with.

SMH.

BTW: Cool pics. Sounds like it was s a great trip.

I wish I had bought WW's RTAK II he was selling recently. I was trying to save up for a reloading press but those plans went all to hell. I've considered ordering a new one a few times but and brand new RTAK II plus a kydex sheath is almost as much as a Junglas, so I might as well get one of them. Though I'm always looking for a deal on either one.

Sun will be up in about 4 hours. If it doesn't look like rain I'm going to try and head up the mountain again and shoot some videos and maybe get a hike in. Then I'll hit that BBQ place on the way home.

This is just insane enough to be potentially incredible.

I never knew it wasnt a "normal" thing until i joined the Army. I grew up eating them that way.... Then during training in the Army i was in the DEFAC and like usual i threw some peanut butter in my grits and everyone started looking at me funny.... Next thing ya know several of us was throwing PB in the grits every morning LMAO.

I tell my father about it, and he tells me the reason he started doing that was because as a baby/toddler i wouldnt eat grits..... but loved PB... so one day he tried to trick me into eating my grits, similar to how i trick my dog into eating his food sometimes LMAO, and then he tried it himself.... And that was that.. I grew up thinking grits came 3 ways.... W/ PB at breakfast time... With Cheese next to fried catfish at dinner, or mixed into a breakfast goulash. All acceptable ways of eating grits LOL

Morning Snark.

Morning bud.

Ate me some breakfast earlier then got me a pretty nice nap... Im turbo charged for Friday now..... Where is the Crown??? :D

It's Hammock time :D

Hi-ho, hi-ho... Got to work this morning for a couple hours then going to Springfield for the weekend. Supposedly I'm going to end up in the pool... We'll see about that.

The only grits I've liked are cheese grits topped with Rockcastle chili. Otherwise I'm just not a huge fan. Although, I'm a dammed Yankee.

Took the kids camping last night. My daughter refused to car camp. She wanted the "Great Outdoors" experience.
So we loaded everybody into the canoe and paddled over to one of the primitive sites on a nearby reservoir.

Groovin' the LBT load-out bags. If I catch them on sale again, I may buy another.
Also lovin' my $30 REI fire-sale Base Camp 4. The footprint cost me more than the tent!

Chicken Alfredo. It's what's for dinner. (And not too bad, I might add.)

Caught a little bream on a spinner and made cut bait. Tried to catch a big cat, but I struck out.

We had great weather. Cool enough to enjoy a fire.

Had some nice knives to play with. The Junglas processed all our firewood.
The TOPS B.O.B. came in the mail right before we left. I really like that knife.

That would of been great if you could of reeled in a big cat to fix on that open fire. One of the best meals I ever had was on the bank of a lake. Me and two of my cousins collectively caught 3, 5-8lb. Channels a few years back. They didnt even make it back to camp. Ate them right there on the spot.

Just got home. We had a freaking blast.

Tell us about it Dubz... what all did you do? Got any more pics of the place?

Morning gents.

Peanut butter and jelly in grits or oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfast meals. PB, Banana, and a squirt of Hershey's syrup is pretty good as well. My wife got me hooked on baked Lay's and cottage cheese. Though it was going to be gross but damn if it isn't delicious. I will pretty much try anything once (food wise). Think I might steer clear of mayo and pb though...............maybe............sounds kind of nasty.

Signed up for the GoRuck challenge on the 26th of September. Guess I better do a push up or something to get ready.

Guyon that trip looks awesome. Still haven't found a third cup to fit in the Stanley.

Mayo and PB Mixed together on a burger is fantastic. Tried it once after seeing it on the bizarre food show on TV.

The only grit I ever had before I started going to Ethans where the ones you get at Cracker Barrel, ... ehh, I could take them or leave them. But the ones Uncle E makes on Becker mountain, now those are the stuff!
