Not to me, peanut butter is good on (almost) anything. When I was little my Mom made me a lot of PB, lettuce and mayo sandwiches. I thought it was a delicacy... turns out we were just poor :p

In other news, in places where food is at a premium but guys are trying to keep their strength up (jail, mostly) peanut butter is a highly prized commodity. I've seen guys mix it with canned tuna to chow down before or after hitting the gym. Even I wouldn't do that. :barf:
 
We are out of grits, but I can say that peanut butter oatmeal is fabulous .

+1. Used to eat PB & pickle sandwiches for lunch daily as a kid. Don't remember how that combination came to be but am craving a PB pickle sandwich right now. Or maybe on a bagel. My cat also loves PB. Never seen a cat like PB before. Also craving a bagel with cream cheese W/ pickles or banana peppers. Gotta go to the store.
 
Heck, it was so good I had another bowl. Now for some good coffee and some British Open.
 
Peanut butter packets will be added to my hiking breakfast menu.

In other news, Tapatalk keeps wanting to restore a saved draft, and I can't figure out how to delete the draft. Flug.

ETA: Hoorah, finally found a "Clear Cache" button in Settings. No more annoying draft restoration.

Besides the fact of being high in protein, PB makes excellent trap bait. Just sayin.

I just had a PB and honey sammich. I blame this thread.

I really like the looks of the BOB knife, just wish they didnt print so much stuff on the blade. But i like how they only coat the flats!!

There's a lot of text, but the coloring is muted. It's not ideal, but it's not horrible.

Half inch longer? Sane thickness as the big Beckers? I like the look, just not a fan of the billboarding. Tops small and midsized knives are quite nice. I haven't handled any of their big blades. I need to get another Tibo.
 
Couldnt sleep last night so I decided to try a couple things. First I wanted to make a quick slap dash sheath for my 7" Old Hickory, in the process I also was going to wax the sheath I made for my Green River. Wellllll... Lets just say I had way more failures last night than successes. Ended up accidentally frying the green river sheath among other sleep deprived screw ups. It was just one of those nights where nothing would work out right so I just kept chugging along. I threw together the OH sheath and tried something that was probably way too ambitious for the green river sheath. Once again they are fairly craptastic BUT I learned a lot along the way and they function just fine, just not "pretty" lol.



The Green river sheath has an X back for different carry methods on the belt along with just sticking it in the waistband or pocket, which I like. Still has excess wax everywhere. Got to keep trying to see if I cant get better at this. I dont have any "leather working" tools and these are made with some cheapo leather scraps. Fun experiment at least.


Also got treated yesterday with a present. I'm pretty happy about it plus it helped immensely in making the sheaths.

The new TKC handles for the bk15-17 look like the field craft minus the bearing but still has that tweener feel. does anybody else have a set of these? I had to grind down about an 1/8" on the front barrel for the handles to stop moving.

Lunch was something tradewater might whip up on a river sandbar. Bacon cheese dogs with genuine American cheese product and Bac-O's. No peanut butter though. :p
