So, the county fair is in town. I worked at our churches food booth a couple of times but last night the wife and I took our two kids, my niece, and one of my son's little buddies. I gotta say, I don't consider myself better than anybody with exception of thieves, child molesters and politicians, but man, my self esteem went way up and my faith in humanity went way down I'll tell you that much. What has happened to people in general. Teenage girls walking around half naked, some pregnant. Kids acting out kicking and screaming in the walkways.
My kids are 10 and 11, I swear I saw kids there age or younger walking around smoking cigarettes no parents in sight. That's not near all. What has happened to common courtesy? I cant tell you how many times I got bumped into, toes stepped on or cut in front of in line with no so much as a sorry, excuse me, kiss my ass or nothing. I had to get out of the midway before there was a homicide. Most likely caused by me and my fuse running low. I kindly stepped away and went to the animal barns. My kinda people there. Lot of people I know showing hogs, cattle, horses. It didnt take me long to locate a beer in one of the coolers. Lol ;)

Ahh the joys of being a single hermit. I avoid crowds and do most of my shopping late at night specifically so I don't have have to deal with that kind of crap.

You guys talking about scum of the Earth type people reminds me of what we have been dealing with a lot at the store.

One night I was the only one closing, had a guy come in (50's, 6' 2", dark tan, well smoked face, etc etc) When I approached him he seemed kinda startled. I spoke with him for a second, went about my business as I was closing down shop and then BAM! Guy grabs a $200+ Dewalt drill and bolts out of the door. One Week later, at exactly the same time, he did it again, this time nearly mowing down the female manager. We have nicknamed this one Methhead. We have him, his vehicle, and the get away driver all in pictures and video.

Next week we had Skunk Man come in. Named such because of his methed out appearance and his bleach blonde highlighted hair. Same age as methhead etc. Shows up, hangs out for a bit, then walks out the door with about $800 in merc. I was not there but we found him on the camera. He came back the next day and did the same thing again. That Saturday I was on the lookout for him and suddenly through the front door he stumbled. He got about 2 feet in and I looked at him and it was like something came over me as I said, "HEY! HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?!?!" I got closer and said "What can we GET for you today?!" The guy just stammered and ran out the door, where his equally methed out woman was parked 2 feet outside the door waiting and they drove away in their easily remembered and described vehicle.

We also have these types that bring in a bag of mismatched type tools, just random small stuff. They then begin to tell you how they do not have a receipt, provide some sob story, then try and proceed to return the items for a gift card to which they turn around and buy a visa gift card with. These types are quite plentiful and easy to spot. Stupid and sad people.

I live in a college town(go pokes) and it gets pretty bad around here, for instance when I was little I never knew a thing about drugs well just last year at my highschool I witnessed two drug deals, knew a couple kids that went to rehab, and a bunch that started selling acid and weed, all on their parents dime
 
And what really sucks is how the cops' hands are tied in prosecuting the jackasses.
(The metheads and their thieving ways.)
