And The Snark Goes On

Yeah no kiddin, Maury Povich made his money on a TV show dedicated to finding out who fathered the sluts baby. Lol. Make no mistake about it. I'm not trying to say I'm without flaws as a parent cause I'm not. But correct me if I'm wrong here. Isn't the point of being a parent to try to raise your kids to be positive contributing members of society? I saw hardy none of that last night. Its scary to think the future of mankind rests on the shoulders of the youth I saw.
Even worse, is Jerry! Even though that show is fake, people still want to believe it's true.

Im not even allowed to go to walmart anymore.

Murph whats the name of the first bag on the left? And the way the zippers are set up.. Is it more useful that way??? If you open the top, does the vertical zipper lock up in places, or if you pull the sides of the bag a little or apply pressure by stuffing stuff inside will the entire thing start to open up??

Great looking pack!!

We may just be getting to that age ;) I'm sure every generation sais the same thing about giving up control to their children (rightfully so). That's why old guys try to stick around as long as they do, there's asskicking to be done!

I got bad news for you MM. Kentucky is the same way, your just fortunate enough that your home schooled and your parent care enough to raise you better. Having said that, my kids do go to a private Christian school, I dont know if thats the difference though. I still saw kids from our church acting just as bad last night.

Todd - It's you and your wife, not the school.

My daughter (now an A&M grad - Whooop!) went to a private Christian high school here in central Texas, and had some stories to tell about some of the kids. Some of them had been kicked out of several public schools so the parents had to send them to private school. Many of them had rich parents in one of the mega-churches (not a fan of these...many[not all] look more like business enterprises than actual ministries) and were only there because the parents wanted them there. She thought that quite a few really didn't have any religious convictions, but it was more a social convention to be observed to satisy mommy and daddy. The school probably helps, but can't do it alone.

My son, on the other hand, decided he preferred the local public school for middle school and high school. It's a small town (2010 census = 1,645 residents), and a lot of the kids come in from the surrounding rural community. He came home from his first day of middle school (fall of 2007, so not that long ago) and told me that the other kids said if you act up in either of the two restaurants in town, the owner called the school. Then the next day, one of the coaches would have the offenders run laps in gym class until they threw up.... He never had to, but knew some kids that did. Don't know if that's still true, but the "small town" way of handling discipline can still be found around here.

That's not the Kentucky I know.

Yeah, I'm sure it's just as bad, but I may be at the age that I don't notice, or I just don't have an issue with it as much. :D:rolleyes: I do notice people being rude in Public school (Which I have experience in, and I will be attending 9th grade this fall) but not all, the BSA is full of pretty good kids.

What I have a real problem with is video games. And sports. They are games, and I have something against kids playing games all the time, watching games, and pouring money to games. It makes you have a teem sprite, and very competitive. If your not on my teem, I won't help you/ be polite. Two family's at our Church have 8 kids between them, and all the kids do the whole time while in church is play video games. :(

George Washington Carver should have won a Nobel Prize for popularizing this miracle salve.

GWC was the man alright. I'm not sure it's what he had in mind, but you haven't lived until you stick your sausage in a jar of Jiff. Damn.

Well aren't we just Debbie Downers today? Some of us could use a hug.
Yes actually I could! Which is why I am having company while watching the babies tonight!

Nothing really. Read a Dickens novel sometime. Mankind has long been depraved. You just got older and started noticing. :D
But Dickens(hehe) was a novelist and wrote fiction! I'm sure I could write some $#!+ that people would look at in 200 years and say people in the turn of the millennium were depraved humans as well!

I'm not saying you're wrong, you are absolutely right people are depraved, disgusting, and society is generally full of degenerates.

I'm good. I've been dipping my sausage in peanut butter this morning.
I heard that is your version of noodling!

It isn't the video games. I play video games. I play games for quite a bit of time actually. The problem is the parents. Kids need boundaries and parents need to set them. People are no longer taught that decency is the boundary of tolerance and too much stuff it tolerated. Children back talking their parents at 5 years old don't need to be given a teat in their mouth they need a backhand.

Chunky or creamy? I tried the chunky once, it reminded me of this one time the chick didn't clean properly and... oh wait... wrong forum for that...

FYI, Ballistol is pretty good at getting off the residue.
