These little Crab Shack blades are slicers. Elmax is a great steel for thin slicing blades. I remember when we were testing it out at deer camp years ago and one blade processed 13 deer without even touching up the edge.

I posted my experience in another Slicer thread. I've been using my Busse Slicer in Elmax for bird processing. Last month I went on a 3 day sea duck hunt in Cape Cod. Processed over 50 birds and the edge is still razor sharp.

Anyway some of us can be tempted with pictures of the slicer variants?

I mean, I'm buying a two slicer bag, but what are the options? 🤔🤔
 
Those swords are very tempting. Both those ceracoat options are tops. And the top one would match my seax proto. Hmmm. What time is eastern minus mountain plus island?
 
Emails sent for 2x Double grab bag. Going to see which 1-2 knives I will keep and sell the rest.

I'm kind of surprise that the response to Busse's anniversary offer were lukewarm. Normally everyone would be going crazy over it but not this time?

I'm not too surprised, as Busse and SYKCO have had a string of cool offerings lately and wallets need time to recover, especially right after the holidays! Also, since these ELMAX slicers have been offered several times last year, many interested hogs have already acquired their few.

I entered for a double out of curiosity, but my response may have been more energetic if the blades are marked for the anniversary, or something else was "special" (not that these Crab Shack blades aren't special in their own right).

Also I tried to post pics earlier but something was wrong with the forum and I wasn't able to... I'll try again.

Having said what I said in my earlier reply, this doesn't mean the ELMAX slicers are not pure awesome. I just think hogs who had the chance to get then already had their go earlier. (Or maybe they did enter for the Ganzaaa and just didn't say anything here.)

This is a GREAT chance for piglets and newcomers to score some great slicers before they're history.

These slicers have my endorsement.

Some of those crab shacks in the teaser pic I really like. But others I do not, and I just don't feel like gambling and having to go thru the selling process if I don't like what I get.

Yeah, to each their own.... I fell the gamble is kinda fun and reading with forum members have been a pleasant experience in the past. Of course, YMMV.

Some releases give the option to buy what you want vs a blind nuclear option... I guess we may never get a standard non-CrabShack offering on these.

I keep getting tied up for the last few Ganzaaa’s. Good luck to the hogs who scored! Can’t wait to see what I missed out on.
 
I sat this one out as I am missing 10 days of work d/t getting covid and my dishwasher decided it had lived long enough. Got to hang on to a few more shekels for the time being.
