Is there a place to leave an “It started here” historical plaque? I can imagine future pilgrimages to show our kids where their sharpest heirlooms were made!

Have a smooth move kids. Remember, Advil will help you get back to work.

I hope it went well!
I spent the day being sicker than any other time in my adult life. I’m guessing it was the flu.
Honestly, I haven’t been that sick since I was a kid.
Here’s hoping everything was better down at the CPK compound!

Edited to add: My eyeballs hurt.

Hope all went well with the move in the rain:thumbsup:At least it was relatively mild (50 Degrees I saw yesterday)

It turns out that if you wait until record rainfall for a week and then attempt to move a bunch of Machining centers it is in fact possible to get an off-road forklift stuck. While holding a machining center. In the rain.

I called it off, the Mori is going to a different shop in town without the mud issue, I'll have to go get it when it dries.

edit to add, that's just a little mini Mill, it weighs about 6,000 pounds. The two Mori we were needing to move through there are over 14000. I didn't feel like risking it

Orthodontics and future college fund$ don't come without struggles and challenges. Those CPK-Kids are so fortunate for their dedicated Momma & Papa. I'll be remiss not to mention all these random step children whom you've also adopted here on your subforums. Kids in here need their CPKs :p

P.S. Jo leads the pack in the pics like a Boss :)

Have you ever moved a Mori when the weather (and therefore the ground) co-operated, lol?

Well yeah. It's been wet and muddy before but never like this. The first Mori was pretty rough now that I think about it, but that was largely due to equipment failure. The second went pretty smooth (for seven tons of misery that you have to roll around). But #3 is making my hair fall out.

Couple truck loads of stone, Nathan, you should have it. You have a roll up door/loading dock and big ass machinery and no way to access either of them unless Mother Nature allows it. Right where those tracks are, scratch that topsoil out, gravel right up to that big ole door, track it all in and then move what you want when you want. That will help with the hairline as well.
