Another benchmade sprint run!?!?!?!

Can't speak to the Onslaught, but my green/black Ares is great. Pivot was pretty tight out of box, so I backed it off a bit and flicked it open a few times until I could tell it was a bit looser/smoother, then tightened it back up to where I liked. Now it's got no bladeplay and I can close it just by pulling the lock back and letting the blade drop. I'm pretty happy with it. :D

Good to hear, I ordered mine yesterday, will probably get my tracking number Monday.

I received my ARES today, and pics don't do this knife justice. It's almost an O.D. green color, and really, really nice. Great fit and finish. Rock solid lock. #65/120 anyone on the fence, go for it!

I would, but im not a fan of small knives.. the mini onslaught is actually on the smaller side for me.

The ares is not a small knife. Its bigger than the mini onslaught and the full sized griptilian. Its almost the exact same size as the rift but both sleeker and beefier at the same time. Definitely a very stout knife. 3.6" blade length, 8.2 overall, 5.5 ounces.

oh wow... i have only see it in pictures. from the pictures it looks like like the same size as a kershaw leek or something. thats cool! i may have to consider this now.

I recently got some M390 together for a few photos. Hopefully this will help give you an idea on the size. Like mkjellgren said, it's definitely a good sized folder with a sleek air about it that also manages to fit the hand very well. Anyway, here's the comparison shot:

Dangit... now you guys have me considering the Ares.... lol i need to save my moneys to buy a hunting rifle! Anyone wanna buy some knives hahah

Just a heads up, another limited run went up on kw today. Orange handled m4 ritter minis... Only 73 made, I placed my order this morning, I imagine they'll be gone by the end of the day. So pumped to slap that m4 blade in my cuscadi cf micarta scales. Gonna be siiiick!!!

exactly what I'm doing ^^^ I was going to order two of them, but I figured I'd let someone else grab one. I hate the people that buy knives I want and then sell them on the exchange for $50 more than they originaly cost. I've already got a mini ritter with custom scales, so I'm just going swap the blades. I hear this M4 is quite nice stuff

I snagged one as well. The wallet is really hurting. But that CF mini-onslaught, this M4 mini-ritter, the silver twill m390 710 with blue anodized spacers, and the g10 handled 940 are all amazingly good bang for the buck. I might have to collect them all.

I also have Cuscadi CF mini-grip scales on the way. I was going to put them on D2 minigrip I got here on the forums, but instead I'll put them on the M4 Ritter and put the new orange scales on the D2 minigrip and sell it here on the forums.

In some ways these knives are like gold class knives for around $150 each. I haven't seen Benchmades of this good of value in a while. Limited edition, premium styling, high-end blade steels. Basically gold class for $150. Really solid stuff Benchmade, keep 'em coming.

I understand this retailer is trying to get BM to make a G10 griptillian. I think at the right price (<$100) that thing would sell like hot cakes, even better would be a G10 Ritter Grip and mini-Grip for around that price point, they would be a huge hit.

Wonder if the steel info is accurate: CPM M4 blade steel, 59-61HRC

The consensus seemed to be when they were running it at 60-62 it was too soft, and their more recent ones have been at 62-64. 59-61 is definitely on the low end for CPM M4 for a folder, but considering that isn't an interval they've used before, it could be a copy/paste mistake.

59-61 is what they've got the 520 and 525 in M4 listed at, too. I've got one of the M4 525s, and edge retention seems pretty good on it. I haven't done anything crazy to it, but I'd expect it to be tough as all get-out at the expense of some wear resistance. Sharpens up pretty well, too.

Wow my M4 minigrip has been shipped (well tracking number is ready, I assume it will go out at the end of the day collection tonight). That's less than 2 hours from ordered to shipped, very fast!

Yup, mine was reported shipped 5 minutes after I placed the order... :D

that feeling when your credit card is maxed out...so you order the knife you want with a money order...

Or do what I do and use a pre-paid Visa. I load 200-300 every two weeks on it for "online purchases". Ammo, Knives
whatever. That way it's already paid for, plus you don't have to wait for the money order to get there :)

M4 Ritter on the way also, love the orange handle. My first M4 steel knife.

I EDC a M390 mini grip daily, the size is perfect for my needs. Can't wait to compare the two.
