Another Buck 110 50th Anniv. tang stamp. Is it possible there is another out there?

Thanks Stumps,,,,will do... I think it is still sealed up buried here in this mess somewhere.

So it looks like I got a variation 1.

Hi there. Looks like I picked up a regular (no finger grips) 110 with 50th anvil blade stamp and no shield. 25th November, 2013 on the box. I'm new to knives and got it by blind luck. Are they worth any more do you think? I'm trying to attach the pics but it's asking for a URL? I have them on my computer only as JPG's.

Cheers
Greg

After reading through all the comments about how many different 50th Anniversary Stamps and type there are for the 110 I thought perhaps a few photos might be in order. Excuse my photography, I don't have much to shoot with..

1883-2013 110 50th Anniversary. 50th inlaid into what I believe is bone material. The blade has the common 2013 year symbol. I couldn't pick it up in the photo but the knife is 1389 of how many I don't know. This was a limited edition specifically for Smokey Mountain Knife Works. 0110BNSSM-B Cat #7887 Date 08/20/13 Fortunately I live within a few miles so I can check by any day to see what they have in the way of Bucks.
Haven't been able to locate a no shield 50th in the regular style 110 but I am on the watch.
Hope you like the info.

Hi jamestap

I browsed ebay and ordered a standard Buck 110 from a seller here in Australia. It came in the box and I later discovered that it has the 50th anvil stamp on the blade and no commemorative inlay shield on the handle. It's just the plain handle with on finger grips.

Cheers

The 110 finger groove with the 50th tang stamp and no inlay shield is a rare find. According to the Buck Collectors Club June newsletter only 240 of these were made.

Good score.

Woops, typo there. I meant it had "no" finger grooves. It's the plain smooth handle, but still has no inlay shield and does have the 50th tang. I'll try and work out adding pics soon, and will post them up.

Thanks.
I had the cursor poised over the "Buy it Now" button. But I've already bought a110 50th locally. There's an older 110, 112, and 500 en-route, plus another 500 and 501 I've bid on.

I'm pursuing \ (1994) traditional lock backs. The 500 series seem hard to come in that year. Both the 500s I mentioned are / (1993), I just couldn't resist.

Have it Mike, Found it on eBay ....251875659049, No Handle shield but USA, BUCK and 50 anvil, now the tough ones are going to be the No Handle shield and Handel shield with Buck, USA, 110 and regular year symbol instead of anvil + finding it in Finger Groove will be impossible I think LOL ;-)

Four (4) of these impossible varieties will look like the 1 of 2000 limited edition Smokey Mountain Knife 50 tangs -- regular any year tang knives with year symbol, but one of each will have handle shield and one will not. There are really 19 different varieties total. and I still have 11 to go, with 4 easy ones ,but just want to see if the price comes down a little on the Federal, Magnola, Weld and Lochsa before I buy them. The last two (20 are 110FG without handle shield and does have "BUCK" on blade, and 110FG without handle shield and does not have "BUCK" on blade. I think it is 0110BRSFG-B Cat #2538 Date 02/28/14. Do you know where any of the Transition 2013-2014 1 of 250 with Sticker reading BUCK 110 2013-2 BUJ11OT are -- with any serial number? If anyone does at a fair x 2 price, then email me at berinfl@ yahoo.com please.

Yea Greg, but it gets tougher. It aloso comes with the USA and the 50th anvil on tang in two different varieties, with BUCK and WITHOUT BUCK, plus there are three varieties of FG (finger grooves) that do not have the handle plate also, with 50th anvil, USA and no BUCK, with 50th anvil, USA and BUCK, and without 50th anvil, USA, BUCK, 110 and year symbol (regular non special edition tang). Still, a nice find, as you have a $100 knife you found according to trade/pruchases I've seen.
