A camera isn't on my list, nor a way to pour water on my shelter (don't wanna pee on my tarp :eek:). Can I take an 18 y.o. old girl with me? As a photographer. She's my daughter you gutter minds! :D
 
It could take a few days for me to clear up some time to get this done. When is it due by? What is the prize for said shelter build?
 
Yeah what is the prize? I'm glad my firesteel comes stock from firesteel.com with some 550 wrapped on it! :) Let's see though, around here not many of the trees have leaves so a roof will be interesting. Hmmm. Guess my kid can be my photographer. Since you didn't specify where to do this, I'm assuming we can use whatever items we find around us??? When is this due by? I'm not off this weekend!!!
 
From what it says We just need to build and test it. I figure its ok to bring a container with water for me to pour over my shelter, as long as I dont use it to build or aid in building my shelter. Same with camera. Side note: Glad I live in FL where its warm most of the time (we have a cold spell a few weeks ago). Unfortunately it have been raining and my shelter might get a real test haha. Just need to find a way to make it stable.

its due when everyone finishes,
the winner of all parts of the contests will receive,
A custom leather bracelet made by me to your specs
a feild strop preloaded with compound
and a custom ironwood handled firesteel with striker

oh and you can use anything NATURAL you want to build your shelter, other than that you can bring your 3 items and somthing to simulate rain.
 
Again, so what if we don't live near the woods or field? Is there a penalty for doing this wherever we can with whatever supplies we find in that area???

I dont care if you build it in the middle of the road as long as its ONLY natural materials and your 3 items that build it.
 
I should have mine done by this weekend. This will be fun! Glad I picked a garbage bag haha.
 
My Camelback will make a really tiny shelter! :) Time to look for some branches! But wait, wooden fencing, that's natural! ;)
 
nice i like the idea. mine better insulate me well is its below zero here right now lol. what the dead line for the contest (sorry if i missed reading it somewhere) whens it over? good luck to all of us.
