ANOTHER @%^!@ Fake Sebenza!!??!!

I am glad you guys are here to help, and warning others about pitfalls is not a bad thing. No it does not encourage people to buy fakes if you let them know the warning signs that fakes are out there.

As it happens, The knife in question was sighted by my friend on another knife forum which I do not subscribe to. He knew I was saving for a Chris Reeve Knife, but was not sure of the model, and alerted me that there was a Sebenza for two hundred dollars. I told him it sounded pretty low, and at the time, did not know it was just a mention on the other forum.

If you don't think these little things help then you probably have the same mentality as why shower because you will just get dirty again. Every little bit helps so we should all chip in and try to help the industry and others.

Maybe a different analogy would've illustrated the point better. I don't know anyone that intentionally doesn't shower because they will get dirty again. But I get your point. I just think it is a losing battle, like trying to stop fake Rolex's or Coach handbags. It sucks people rip off designs and profit, but CRK won't struggle for customers because of them.

Jesus look at the copy on that page...

"He is today's achievement, in addition to have a natural design aesthetic talent, the main is from practical and study of constantly perseverance, plus the pursuit of the perfect stubborn individual character design."

"A lot of people buy a box knife that the quality of the products and the sword of the potter's personal cultivation inseparable...."

What???

This just shows the majority of people on eBay never read a damn word of the sales copy.

The title alone is enough to raise skepticism; "Custom Chris Reeve 2202-wheat folding knives (cocoa wood handle)". I'm sure "cocoa wood" is a mistranslation for cocobolo. Is "2202-wheat" somehow a terrible mistranslation for Mnandi?
I wonder what the winning bidder will actually receive?

Has anyone seen this one yet?

^I wish CRKs came with matte screws like that to match the handle.

Off topic some, I wonder how long it'll be until Sebenza 25 clones are on the market.

i bought numerous fake knives because of threads like this, i was so interested in comparing them because of all the discussion i couldnt resist! i now use them as knives to test things on like finishes, how to make scales etc... i cant say they are bad quality knives either they are excellent quality, and i can even say the Strider fakes are probably better in quality to the real thing, but there is still nothing like the pride of owning the real thing.
