I was thinking about buying an Adamas folder as my next EDC/work knife. Do you guys (the experts) like it? How about some opinions/pics!?

The Adamas will be my next knife purchase. I love my Griptilian, but when you are used to carrying a much larger knife (CRKT M16-04Z), it just won't do. So I will by the Adamas and the Grip will become my second EDC and the CRKT will become my back up.

The adamas is a great, strong and reliable work knife. If your like me and weight is of no concern to you then pull the trigger on it. It is a chuncky knife and heavy, but that doesn't bother me a bit. I have 2 adamas folders one black one tan. I love to carry them and show people. I personally carry a 581 barrage for work. I say go for it!

Cool knife but boy its big and beefy! I just don't care for big beefy one for pocket carry. I do like the fixed blade and may get one for edc.

I like my knives like I like my women. Thick and strong!

D2 is a great steel for the knife. It holds an edge nicely and for a non-stainless it is very corrosion resistant. It is made even more so by the BK1 coating. I have heard tales that it is hard to sharpen, but if you just touch it up from time to time, a full on sharpening shouldn't be necessary.

the adamas imo is the beefiest axis lock folder benchmade has out at the moment (axis lock is 25% larger). this thing truly is a tank, if i had to compare it in weight and how it rides in pocket i would have to say its comparable to a zt0301 or 0200. the pocket clip is its only caveat, its a bit flimsy/weak. overall a great comfortable work horse you could probably level a house with. oh yeah, comes with a sheath too.

So long as a little weight doesn't bohter you, it is an excellent knife. It will take just about anything you can throw at it. Good steel, damn good ergos IMHO, and even though it has a rather thick blade, the geometry is actually rather well thought out and is a damn good cutter. I say do it. I absolutely love my 275

I want one, but won't own a blade with a thumb stud. BM, make a thumb hole version and I'm on the pre order!

I love my tan Adamas. I do wish the scales were a bit thinner for an overall thinner knife, but if I close my eyes and just feel the knife in hand it feels great. Im glad I have one for sure.

I purchased a Spyderco Vallotton at about the same time as an Adamas a while back.

The Adamas is a slightly larger knife but for some reason it rides a lot better in my pocket than the Vallotton, which I intend to sell. It doesn't seem to take up as much pocket space, if you know what I mean.

Maybe it's just me, but I like the Adamas a lot better.

I think the Adamas is the sexiest folder out there, and the pr0n that was posted just proved it to me again. I ordered mine and it should be here soon. :) One thing for me that would make it the PERFECT knife would be a tanto style blade. No serrations, just a tanto point and that would be the LAST folder I would ever need to buy. Noticed I said need. ;)

I really liked the Adamas initially. Then one day i noticed that the brown handle had a scratch on it. Come to find out the G10 is painted brown, not brown throughout. I still like the knife but i never carry it anymore. I dont mind scratches, but when the scratches turn black and stick out like a sore thumb that is just plain ugly. If i had to do it over again, i would have gotten the black handle.

I would own an Adamas if I could get it with a tip down carry clip. It is too big to carry right front pocket and I only carry tip down in the right rear pocket (my preferred pocket).

Benchmade, start drilled these for tip down carry and I will own one!
