Any Adamas lovers?

Is far from a factory edge. Hair whittling sharp. but it will never be anything more than a fighter. Slashing/stabbing. Try cutting an apple or carrot with it and all you will do is split it.

This knife was made for meat. Maybe wood as well. But mainly meat.

The pouch, Either I'm stupid, ignorant to something or what. But to me the design is just backward.

Maybe. IMO, the best designed sheath on the market. Have planned to get one for other knives, just haven't yet. It is one of the reasons the Adamas is my favorite folder.

I hear a lot of people say that it's to big to carry and I never believed it until my dad said it and then we compared hand sizes and mine were much larger .

point of the story being is I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall which is probably why I can carry it comfortably but another thing being is that since ive started EDCing knives they have all been on the larger side but again that could also be because of my height and size

I'm 5'6". Fits me perfect.

I almost bought an Adamas, but instead purchased an 810 Contego. I love the Contego, but might still be interested in an Adamas down the road. Does anyone own both a Contego and an Adamas? If so, how do they compare?

Own both. I carry the Adamas everywhere. EVERYWHERE. It does not leave my side unless I'm boarding an airplane or entering a courthouse. I carry it in its supplied sheath, which I happen to believe is one of the best out there, unless you pay custom. The Contego? Meh... I carry it sometimes. The Adamas is the best folder I've owned in my 48 years. The Contego is an also-ran.

yeah but it is still the best any folder has performed in any of his hard use tests. I have yet to see one that didn't have some sort of damage after he got done with it.
Here is his scoring on knives he has hard tested.

As much as it pains me, the Zero Tolerance 550 did better. No damage at all.

Thought I'd share my Adamas collection.

375
275
2750

Something I aspire to.

Too many thumbstuds in this thread.

Well, really...um... Yeah. Oh, I so so wish I could get an auto in this design.

I have the 375 and 275. The folder is like a tank. Some complain that the clip is too weak for such a heavy knife. I've not experienced any issues with the clip. The D2 steel holds a very sharp edge.

The adamas is one of the best blades benchmade has come out with, on par with the 710 imo. Its a nice feeling knowing you have a super tough brick of a knife in your pocket, and beleive me you will think a brick is in your pocket but thats part of the fun. Big blades for the better.

^ agreed, the d2 takes such a nice edge and honestly is way easier to sharpen than most make it seem it also strops well for me.

Love my Adamas. It's one of the larger Benchmade's that I have but very well made. I'm now waiting for the Vicar, it's not as large but has a really cool blade. I'm not sure when they will be out but saw it on the benchmade website.

Been thinking about picking this one up for awhile and debating between the tan and black scales. Is it true that the new tan ones are actually real tan G10 and not tan painted on black G10? The tan is different and something I don't have in my collection while the black has it's obvious badassness.

The earlier tan G-10's were painted over Blk. As the newer are true tan G-10. The early 275's also had a longer fuller, ran all the past the scales/handle when open..not sure if that changed at the same time they started using the actual tan G-10, however I think if you found a tan version w/ the longer fuller, chances are it will be a painted scale.

Good to hear about the G10 being true tan. I definitely like the look of the longer fuller but oh well. I think I also saw a video on YouTube about the 755 MPR that said the newer ones also had a shorter fuller but don't know whether that's true.

someone on here is going to have to customize their 275 like I did. I think the adamas would look cool with red scales

Those are awesome. I think an Adamas in bright orange would be a big winner.

If it were my 275, it would have been in orange for use when hunting/camping. It's my wife's, though, so I had it Cerakoted in her favorite color.
