sorry to re-resurrect this thread, but I just had to say I have recieved my FRN PE Ladybug (finally got just one, along with other Spydies and 2 Byrds)
this little blade is a heck of a cutter! I loved my Jester but didn't use it very often because of the steel of the blade... this one is gonna be used seriously (for light duty, still, but often), it's just a great Spyder blade in a tiny package, that's amazing what it has in common with the Delica.
I just had to let you know I'm in love with this knife and sure will order another one in my next order (not very soon though, shipping costs from good internet stores to Europe are a bit high to order small amounts of knives at a time)
here's the knife:

here's a close-up of the pivot area:
for those interested, here's the other stuff I bought this time (except for the 2 Jesters, the pink one is for those having it and wondering what pink is the D4, the green jester is just for the pink one not to feel alone):
that Ladybug3 is a heck of an edge in a ridiculously small package. I just need to get more to put my jester to retirement.
thanks again Sal! if every company president were like you, the world would really be a much better place!

comments on the other knives:
-The Cara Cara is just too big for me, but for it's size and price, it's so much of a bargain every spyder fan should own one! The G-10 version is heavy, but the FRN one is just perfect in weight (I'm a big fan of the FRN Caly Jr, so you see my point)
-The G-10 Robin is a very nice little folder, for it's price it's a real bargain too. Though on the one I recieved the lockback is really really stiff, I'm just quicker closing it with 2 hands than with one.
-The Wave on the D4 is really a great tool, perfect for fast deployment, and really nice tool to open beer bottles
-The D4 (the pink one, as the waved one) is just not my thing, I keep putting my index finger on the bump before the edge, and that's not comfortable at all. I must have used my choil-equipped knives for too long, maybe I will get used to the D4. The angle on the Waved D4 came near 40, I had to regrind it to 30 with a DMT X-coarse benchstone, and finish on the sharpmaker. which makes me feel I really need something between those grits, the marks from the DMT stone take hours to take away with the sharpmaker, they're just too deep.
-finally, the Tasman Salt is my first hawkbill from a real brand (well, I stopped buying chinese knives a few years ago, about when I discovered this forum, but still got most of my old cheapies collection, where there's a CE hawkbill I always were afraid to use and even more to carry), and following the advice I read here and on spyderco.com's forum, I got the SE version. I'm a fan of neither SE nor hawkbills, but this blade seems to be great for ropes, or for any quick dirty cutting, while I keep my PE blades for fine cutting work.
my preferred knives in this batch are the waved D4, Robin, and Tasman. I don't think I'll use the regular D4, but the Cara Cara will be perfect for where I could lose it or have it confiscated. if it happens the Robin will take this role I think
