Any CRK News Coming at Blade Show 2014?

I'm not jumping ship on CRK, but I gotta admit the blade show win sure has me curious about these blades, which is the whole point of the contest, I suppose.

Well said. I'm not gonna jump ship either, but that matte bronze TiSpine they offer sure speaks to me. I would only wish for phosphor bronze pivot washers vs. the Teflon washers they use. Other than that one nitpick, the TiSpine, IMHO, demonstrates impressive potential in form and function. Haven't handled one, but would like to hear from those that have.

The TiSpine is a good looking knife and there is much to like about it, but the fact that a particular Robert Young Pelton has his name on it is enough for me to never own one. :)

Must admit that I'm not up to speed with issues associated with that name. I'll do some homework. If someone wants to back channel me some info, I'd appreciate it. Don't want to start a name-flame here. :)

Edit to add: Wow! 10 minutes on Google and I see what you mean Haze. I honestly have never heard of the guy. Thanks for the heads up.

I also was not up to speed on that fella and just like Mr. Pop, a few minutes of GoogleFu and I am up to speed.

I simply prefer to buy knives that are not only well-designed, have good materials, and proven track records, but I also look at the MAKER/DESIGNER and avoid the less-than-savory characters when possible.

LionSteel makes a good knife. I think they need to focus more on the edge geometry, all the ones I have had were very thick behind the edge. Nice designs but no where CRK standards in the fit and finish. Proprietary screw for the clip was also a negative for me. Also if you like jimping the TiSpine's has none that is really functional. Still a nice design though.
