Any Love for Orange Blossom lobsters?

Fantastic knives, Charles. Thanks for sharing photos. I really like the thin blades on these. They look like sharp little slicers. I also appreciate how useful that style of nail file must be. I wish we'd see it on more of the inexpensive, widely-available knives today, like the SAK Cadet, for instance.

Beautiful knives, Charles! Thanks for letting us see them.

I had to come back for a little more coon eyeing!! Thanks for the look, Charles. Rare indeed!

Thanks for the kind comments. Here is a Robeson with Indian Trail (AKA worm groove) jigged bone I was lucky enough to find in great condition.

Here is a recent addition to my OB collection. It is a traditional pearl model, but the surprise to me was the maker. This one is a Camillus. Has the 4 line mark which is pre WWII. This must be early as I've never seen a Camillus OB before. This one even has milled nickel silver liners with a very high grade of F/F. Condition is super as well. A real treasured addition to my OB's. Enjoy.

I thought I would bring this thread back to life. While I know this shadow sleeveboard whittler lobster is not a true OB (not gunstock and no tip bolsters) it is a rare find and I wanted a place to show it. Happy Easter

Charles, You have an amazing collection of orange blossoms!

As you saw in the "old knives" topic, this is my first and only example of this fine pattern. The main blade is stamped "Robeson ShurEdge U.S.A." and "64282" on the reverse. The smaller blades are stamped "R. C. CO.".

Jake, thanks for posting your Robeson here and bringing this thread back to the front page. I have a few new additions that I hope I can get John to make some his great photos to post. I have one like yours as well, but not quite as clean. Nice piece. I have always been attracted to the high end complexity of this pattern.

Charles,

Gorgeous knife and a winning first foray into a custom lobster. The cover material is perfect, the tip bolsters a nice touch but the blade selection is what really sets this one apart. How is the blade action?

Jamie:

Blade action is solid with no conflicts. These are complicated builds and Jim said it proved to be a major challenge. I'm very pleased.

He modeled it on the Remington pattern which used the coping on one secondary.

Really like that knife!

I saw this thread and the first thing thru my brain was, "Did Chuko get a new knife?".

Perfect in every way, Charles. A work of art.

Charles, I am in total awe, what a gem!
