Any Love for Orange Blossom lobsters?

How is the blade action?

Having handled this knife, imo they are all perfect. No nailbreakers, none lazy, all have halfstops.

Didn't process this photo earlier, doesn't meet my standard for quality and the lobster is back in Charles hands, but here is a slightly blurry top view. No rub, very close tolerances. The word precision comes to mind.

View attachment 720446 Here are some CEM Maniago lobsters. They were available in stainless and bone. The feature that I like is the curved jaw flush cutting cuticle nipper which dispatches hang nails with aplomb. I took the excess blades out of one leaving only the nipper. It is my main EDC.

Charles, that's a beautiful knife. I suspect there are not very many custom makers willing to do an Orange Blossum.

I'm still looking for that elusive Terrier.

BTW; all of your photos and some others have disappeared from the first two pages of the thread. Appears to have something to do with the software change. Hopefully, they can be retrieved.

Charlie, I noted the same thing when I went through a review. I'm thinking about asking John to help me with new photos. You are correct, Jim is not anxious to do another.

Wow that is an amazing knife! Terrific color on the pearl and great finish all around:thumbsup:
Thanks for the pattern lesson, I have seen these a couple of times but never knew their name.

Dan those are some nice ones! The pearl looks almost unused, but the shadow stag is outstanding! Thanks for showing and posting in this thread.

Were all gunstock lobster patterns 3 bladed? I believe I have a Remington R6513 but it only has the primary spear and secondary spear with the long nail file on the back spring. It is definitely a gunstock pattern in jigged Remington bone

Cool, thanks for the print add. I will post some pictures when I find it, the shield and bolsters have some corrosion on them, I will have to rub on it some.

You're welcome. I actually prefer knives to be original and wade through the sea of cleaned knives looking for ones that haven't been messed with. Buffing bolsters is a finishing step on a parts knife so it makes a legitimate knife questionable. Though in this case, the pins don't run through the bolsters. IMHO it is best to avoid it. Wiping down the steel parts with a rag damp with mineral oil will remove any loose rust and stop further rust without resurfacing the metal.
