I got mine too.
What's with the round tip?
Looks like mine is not the only one.
Was someone drinking too much while profiling the blade?
This is my first Busse. Is this common? Seems really strange!!!
Uchinan, the point on my sarge isn't terribly pointy; just the shape of the blade i guess, but IT IS pointier then yours. If it bothers you, send it in; if mine was like yours, I probably would. Having a pointis useful IMO, especially if you're not piggybacking.
SavageSmurf, thanks for the info. It seems like a pretty common thing for the SARGE, and as you said, could be due to the blade shape. I may send it in, but I guess I need to wait and see what I plan to use it for. Right now it is just sitting in the BOB waiting for the zombie apocalypse.
Well, I'm almost afraid to say it..... The Sarge is my perfect knife. So much so, i just ordered another one in green/black G10. While I will agree with my first one, the tip is a little odd, but no deal killer for me. I love it. One's going in the BOB next to the XD9 and the other will be beaten like it owes me money. Garth/Jerry/Busse Team - Nice knife man. Will there be any in this series coming out with a smaller blade like the SAR 3 - more geared for EDC? If so, put me down for two of those too. Damn Busse and Chuddybear for takin all my money....
I used to think these knives were a little overpriced (kinda like Randall's - IMHO, yeah I said it - even thought I want one), but one just never knows till he has one in his hand. Well worth the investment, or in my case - multiple, multiple, investments. With their warranty, you can't lose. I'll post up some pics of my first Sarge later this afternoon. Made some (Non-Zombie) lunch yesterday in the backyard with it. The only thing that could make it better, is a Sarge 3 version piggybacked with some lucious Chuddybear pants...... I'm drooling waiting... Come on Jerry/Garth!!!!
Here are some pics of ole' Sarge yesterday. When the Wife told me to get lunch started for the family, she didn't realize my mind was in the woods at that moment..... A family friend caught some trout and gave us some fresh fillets... so OBVIOUSLY, I got out the camp stove and prepared it outside.... Apperantly, this wasn't exactly what she meant. Either way, the kids had fun and we all loved the trout. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Wait until next week!
