That doesn’t really surprise me, to be honest. I’ve always wanted to go to the Rendezvous, and while I would still like to, but reports from recent years make it sound like some aspects of it have become a bit less friendly and “Porch-like.”

She said there were folks camping out there DAYS in advance. Felt like a Black Friday sale and we all know how nuts those are these days. I'm with you, I would have liked to attend at least one and I still may but I'm trying to remove more sources of FOMO related stress in my life and that event will not help in that endeavor .

So some people's dream of GEC making mostly loads of 15s might become reality? Man... Though it doesn't seem that they are at it yet, with all varieties they've done recently, which is good I think.

I think they will make the knives they want to make, regardless of outside efforts to influence. As long as they are producing and maintaining their standards, we don't have much to complain about really.

These are up. They look nice but I decided to sit this one out. There is jig bone with either federal or spear shields, and cocobolo with federal or spear shields, and “satin finish” cocobolo.

The price has me on the fence. If it was a single blade or pen blade secondary I'd be all in but I have no use for the awl. Wonder how hard it would be to swap the awl for a cap lifter?
