Any progress on KITH2005 knives?

I had mine all figured out and all the materials picked and such then you all got me thinking about this cat piss thing and I am off on another track again..

As long as you rinse it off a bit before you send it to me I don't care what you put on it! :D
 
Got to sharpen it and make a sheath. Should have time tommorrow, and will get it in the mail either friday or saturday.
 
Forged and ground that puppy tonight. (yeah, I'm one of the slow ones.) :D
 
I think another hour of hand sanding then I'll put the scales on tomorrow.
let's see...are Burchtree, Steve and I the only slow ones!? :eek:
 
mine just needs to be boxed up. I actually carried it a little while. Easy to sharpen! and cuts good ;)
 
Need to sharpen it. that's about it. It will go in the mail Thurs. or Fri.

Address list will be revised and emailed in a minute. Man, you guys sure are high maintenance this year! ;) I have about 25% of my knife done. I'm a total slacker. My file is going to melt after the work I put it through over the next couple days!
 
Hopefully mine gets put in the oven tonight. I did some normalizing last night ans it's ready fo' the clay! (big surprise there). :D
 
Mine is done. I am going to wait till the recipient of my recipient gets his before I will ship out mine. No offense but the guy recieving mine hasnt made much of a showing here on the forum.

Well, hopefully all will be well. We haven't had anyone get ripped off yet before, so...
 
Well I got good news and bad. The good news is I diferentialy heat colored my stabilized CP-04 scales in a mixture of molten lead, Rock salt(late 60's, early70's) and some Bear grease, and boy did they come out sa-weeet. :D
Bad news.....Mark, I got to switch to plan "B". I was going to give you my first Damascus blade, but it warped and craked in heat treat :grumpy: :mad:
Now all I gotta do is figure out what plan "B" is and not screw it up!

Hey, did you guys see Mace's contribution in Knives 2005? Cool knife! What's stabilized CP-04? THis is all crazy talk! :D
 
Chiro, Thanks for the notice of my knife in the 2005 book. I've had the book for a while now and have looked in it sevral times only to miss my knife. Someone told me about it a few weeks ago, so I just found out. :rolleyes: :D
It's the first piece I've had in print. Not sure but it might be the knife from kith last year. :D

So ya want to know of CP-04 and my coloring methods eh? :eek:
All I can say at this time is I cant say much at this time.
The secret will be reviled, I'm sure at some point. :D

I dont blame you Mark. It was cool that my maker emailed me about the size of my hand.
 
Mine is going out tomorrow :) But don't think it's cause of good planning. I waited till this past weekend before the idea for what to send hit me. My Wife likes it so I am hoping it is well recieved :) She's usually a good source of judgement on these things ;)
