Any progress on KITH2005 knives?

Recieved my knife today from Matt Shade. Matt it's going to be a great deer knife. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks alot!

Mines looking good. Just needs the final bevel then a mark (maybe) , a polish then it's in the mail. Really gonna hate to see my first knife head off into the cold cruel world. LOL

Where do I send pics or do we just post them here? :confused:

Hey glad to hear it :) If I'd known it was going to you originally I'd have made it a little bigger, and maybe used thicker stock. I guess I should have given you some specs on it too. The blade is 1/8" 440C, grind is a 10" hollow grind, and the handle is cocobolo finished with danish oil. I'll post pics whenever we decide how thats going to be done.

The CP-04 handles look f-ing sa-weet(no smell).
Just finished the sheath....Hope you don't mind baby blue pool liner. :p It's all I had. I laced it with zip ties.

My knife is done . Just need to finish the sheath. Doing a gun show this weekend so I will finish the knife early next week and ship it out. Michael , no hurry when you get it done just send it out. I am a very patient man. Thanks.

Thanks for the specs Matt. It's a great size for a deer hunting knife. The knives I use are in this size catagory. Remember, you are only using about one inch from the tip down for field dressing and skinning. The grind you did is real nice. I will make it my EDC for awhile to try it out. Thanks again,

I'm sure it will be nice Mace. CP or no CP. I like pool liner. Might replace the zip ties with rubber bands if you dont mind. :)
 
After six weeks of being out of the forge,I went back and did the HT on the blade Sunday.I got the flu,which turned into pneumonia,and messed up my lungs bad.They are OK now,but I will have to be careful for a while still.I had everything ready,the blade forged,and it should take a week or two to finish it up.Should ship out around April 1.Sorry Jason,but it will be worth the wait of a few weeks.

Mine goes out in the mail today to Matt Shade! I just spent the morning taking photo's of it for posterity. My first knife! WOOHOO!!
I appreciate Matt being patient with me...he must be going nuts waiting.

I hope it's worth the wait.

Matt, remember to look in all the bubblewrap bundles. There are a few small items in there I'd hate for you to just toss in the trash.
 
I got mine mailed out to Stacy yesterday, let me know if it doesn't show up in a few days.
